ARCHIVED Complicated Fertility Issues-but Could I Be Pregnant?
beelzebubble replied to beelzebubble's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
thank you all for your replies. i'm honestly just stumped. it was such a funny conversation i had with myself in the car: -that was weird. -yeah, sometimes it sucks to have such a good sense of smell. -yes...but...that's never happened before. i mean, who gets grossed out by the smell of food. -mum did. -yeah, but that was when she was pregnant... -
ARCHIVED Complicated Fertility Issues-but Could I Be Pregnant?
beelzebubble posted a topic in Related Issues & Disorders
at 14 i was diagnosed with pcos, at 19 with hypothyroidism, at 29 with gluten intolerance. at 29, i'd never had a period on my own, and i was told that i didn't ovulate. about a year after changing my diet because of the gluten intolerance (no processed foods, lots of raw fruits and veggies, low sugar, etc), i started menstruating-boy, was i surprised. over... -
ARCHIVED What Is Your Most Annoying Symptom?
beelzebubble replied to erin24's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
for me it's nausea. i just seem to get nauseous easily, glutened or not. but when i'm glutened it just doesn't go away, i think until the inflammation does. blech. -
ARCHIVED Pernicious Anemia (megaloblastic Anemia) And celiac disease
beelzebubble replied to Robix's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
would you say that testing your b-12 levels is enough to rule out pernicious anemia? i ask because i take a multi vitamin, a b complex and a sublingual b-12 daily and when my b-12 was tested it was within normal range. i mean, i'm taking like 10,000% of the us rdi of b-12. i was expecting my b-12 levels to be on the high end of normal, not the low end... -
ARCHIVED Thyroid And Zinc Results..
beelzebubble replied to DonnaD's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
i'm no expert, but it looks to me that while you are on the slightly lower than normal range for t4 and t3, your thyroid stimulating hormone levels are right where they are supposed to be. if you have a thryoid problem it usually shows up there or with your thyroid antibodies before showing up in your actual hormone levels. it looks to me like you are fine... -
ARCHIVED Simple, Unprocessed Foods
beelzebubble replied to carriecraig's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
i do mostly raw fruits and vegetables during the day. for breakfast i have a smoothie, usually of oj, blueberries, strawberries, and a banana. i make my own dehydrated crackers with corn, cilantro, tamari, garlic, onion, red pepper, hot pepper, carrots, flaxseeds, and sunflower seeds. for lunch i will have one of these with half of an avocado, lettuce... -
i totally agree. i've had something similar happen to me and there was some confusion about what my thyroid levels meant. as far as the palps go, i have found that a few things help: uppage of my thyroid meds, taking potassium, a multi, b complex, a sublingual b-12, and magnesium on a daily basis, stress management techniques, and lastly trying not to...

ARCHIVED New Forum Format-confused
beelzebubble replied to beelzebubble's topic in Board/Forum Technical Help
woo woo. thanks. i was getting really frustrated. -
did the format of the forum change? i'm not sure if the section at the bottom of each thread is just indicating related posts, or if those are part of the thread. if they are part of the thread, i find it incredibly frustrating to have to click on each and every link just to be able to see the whole thread. what's going on? am i just completely insane...

ARCHIVED Gallbladder Removal Recommended
beelzebubble replied to a topic in Related Issues & Disorders
could you see a naturopath? some naturopaths can help you with a gall bladder/liver flush. from what i've read, some people don't need to have their gb removed afterward. just a thought. -

haaa. thanks for that. i really needed a laugh. -
i was diagnosed at 14 with pcos (about 17 years ago), and 19 with hashimoto's thyroiditis. i would suggest getting a fasting insulin test done as well, especially if you've noticed anything unusual like abnormal periods, excess hair... anyway, you can pm me if you like, i'll tell you what i know about pcos.

ARCHIVED Gluten Intolerence And Thyroid Problems
beelzebubble replied to tiffjake's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
i've been gluten-free for almost 3 years and i'm still producing massive amounts of antithyroid antibodies. i even had to raise my synthroid dosage. i'd hoped that it would stop after going gluten-free, but alas... -
i know. this is weird, huh. no, i don't think i have grave's. i do have hashimoto's though. the funny thing is, i must have been hypothyroid for 3 years or longer. that's when i noticed i was losing my hair (which has started to grow back now). but i attributed that to the stomach stuff that was going on. then, when i was diagnosed, i started to feel...

hi guys, here's a quick update. after some tests, the endo determined that i was (get this) both hypo and hyperthyroid. it seems that my dose was too small, and that was causing my body to pump out thyroid stimulating hormone. because of this, the small part of my thyroid that actually works was releasing way too much t3. the result is that i was hypothyroid...

816-you couldn't be more normal. i do think it's odd though, that after taking b vitamins daily for months, and a sublingual daily for over a month (with the b-complex), that my b-12 wasn't much higher. i mean, i'm taking 10,000 % of the us rdi. ah well, like i said, i'm going to have the endocrinologist test my intrinsic factor. alas, i was hoping...
-
it was within normal range. of course, with the amount i've been taking it should be sky high. i'm going to ask the endo to test for the intrinsic factor.

hi all, an update. i went to the doctor and he ran some blood tests-cbc, b12, thyroglobulin ab, free thyroxine, t3 uptake, thyroid peroxidase, and tsh measure. most of the tests came back normal, some were off. my white blood cell count was fairly elevated at 12,000 (normal 3 to 11,000). my thyroid results were within normal range, BUT my thyroglobulin...
