  2. Welcome to the forum JenHarris. I think you should get tested for celiac. All of your symptoms do fall under the celiac umbrella. It would be a good idea to have you son tested as well. Cystic Fibrosis is on this list: Open Original Shared Link Anti-gliadin antibodies (AGA) both IgA and IgG Anti-endomysial antibodies (EMA) - IgA Anti-tissue transglutaminase...
  3. How is your vit D level? You may need more. Last year mine was at 16.7 range is 32.0-100.0. My Dr. put me on 50,000 IU Rx a week for two months and then I started taking 5,000 IU a day for a few months, now I am taking 3,000 IU a day. It is time for me to get tested again so I can see where my levels are. I am trying to remember, I think it took about six...
  4. Kinnikinnick has gluten-free graham crackers and crumbs. I have heard some say gluten-free ginger snaps are good.
  5. Ruby will be on Dr. Oz today and the new show season starts on Sun. March 6. I am so excited!
  6. Welcome to the forum MommyMay. With your symptoms it would be a good idea to get tested for celiac. Also while you are there, get your vitamin and mineral levels checked too. The easy brusing could be low iron, fatigue and irritability could be low B levels and/or low D. Being low in these is another symptom of celiac. UTI is also a symptom. Look up Dermatitis...
  7. When I have to endure the smell of gasoline for more than a couple of minutes I will get a migrane. My husband used to put the lawnmower in the basement. Normally he would let it sit outside for a few hours to air out. One day he did not do this and I got a terrible migrane. He got a ear full from me.
  8. Yes, your headaches should start to ease up. My son had them and I am assuming they were from gluten because he doesn't complain of them anymore. I also had almost daily headaches and sinus problems and they have gone away as well. I think taking dairy out for a while can help too.
  9. If it is plastic I would say no. Ceramic that has no chips or cracks in it should be fine.
  10. Welcome to the forum ATLMommy. Make sure you get copies of all tests because some Dr.s do not know how to read them properly or skim over them so fast they can miss something. Well, you can't be slightly positive for celiac. It is like saying you are 'kind of pregnant'. Hopefully they ran all these tests Anti-gliadin antibodies (AGA) both IgA and...
  11. Welcome to the forum Lilykuh. You have come to the right place to help you find answers. First off, are they doing any remodeling in your building with drywall? I have heard from here that drywall and the mud they use contains gluten. I guess it is possible that the flour is in the air ducts. Anything is possible I have found out. Hopefully others have...
  12. I will have to second the D and B-complex and for good measure throw in a good multi too. This has helped me so much to regain my energy.

  14. My husband came to me today and said he wants to stop drinking and asked if I know of anything to help him sleep. He says he can't sleep unless he has 'many' beers. He has also been off of dip for three months. He has been using nicotine lozenges to help with that and is able to go many hours without one now. This is all good news for me. Do any of you...
  15. I have had issues with Dr.s not wanting to test for things I ask for. I just firmly say that I want them done. It looks as if your son needs to be tested. I would try calling the Dr. and telling them that you want the test to be run, if he refused again then I would make an apt. with another Dr. You Dr. must not be up on celiac info. because even some...

  18. Hi Leslie. Welcome to the forum. My 4yo was just recently diagnosed with celiacs disease. Well, kind of. She is "just barely" above the markers for normal. Her biopsy showed "mild symptoms consistent with celiac's disease". Our doctor told us that we could wait 6 months and have her blood tested again to confirm and use this time to learn. And...
  19. Welcome to the forum Beatha. It sounds to me like you are having withdrawls. You could try to eat more protein to help keep you full and possibly eat more meals and snacks throughout the day. Can I ask what food you are craving? We might be able to help you with a gluten-free sub.
  20. Welcome to the forum fryzway. A lot of people here, including myself, my daughter and my son had negative tests but tried gluten-free anyway and have gotten better. My son's symptoms are what led us to look for celiac. He had severe constipation, tummy aches, headaches, unexplained rashes, various types of BM's, he missed a lot of school and he is a foot...
  21. Welcome to the forum justcrash. Yes, it sounds like you could have celiac or a gluten intolerance. Have you had a blood tests for celiac yet? If you want to have them done you need to still be eating gluten. Some people start feeling better after a few days or weeks and sometimes it will take a few months.
  22. Hi beachbumtoo. The best thing to do is to call the company and ask if their products/product contain wheat, barley or rye.
  23. One of my neighbors gave me that book to give to my daughter. She had made a gluten-free and a regular strawberry cake and the host liked the gluten-free better.
  24. This is exciting. She is on my local news this morning. They will be taste testing gluten-free cakes.
