    I have been thinking of volunteering at a shelter, too. I agree with the above posters. I have never liked animals that lick me. I don't offer my face for that. But if I got licked on the lips accidentally, I wouldn't worry.

    I put plastic wrap on the top and bottom of sticky pizza dough while rolling out. I like that I can see thru it. If they come out blobby shaped, we call them guinea pigs shaped cookies. Or my dad sticks some red hots in the middle before baking and we call them volcanoes.

    I make a hot cheese dip that I take to parties. However, once its set out, you can't keep track of what people dip in it. I bake a liitle custard bowl of it and take that & a baggie of chips for myself.

    Yeah! Blame it on us! We eat mostly gluten-free at home and when we go to PF Changs we all order gluten-free so we can share. So a teenager & a Hub plus a college student when he is home....not quite the same but the 3 of them probably equal 1 whole gluten-free person?

    If it says modified tapioca starch, then it is tapioca made into a starch. It can't have wheat or some other starch added to it. Not really sure what you are saying?     It worries me that you are cutting out a lot of foods at a time when you need a variety of healthy foods. Why? If you are gluten free, you should be able to absorb the iron. As Tiffany said, it is common for pregnant women to be anemic. Take your iron supplements correctly - on an empty stomach - no food before or after for about 2 hours if I'm remembering...

    Corn starch should be safe for Celiacs.

    As far as I can tell by your signature, there is no reason for you not to eat whatever you want. If wheat doesn't bother you, good for you.

    Some or all of them have gluten-free oat in them. Perhaps that is your issue?
