  1. I would ask to see where they got that info from. There are a lot of people on the internet saying whatever they think might get them attention. I don't see how it would have gluten if its made from corn.
  2. Last night we had indoor grilled chicken on salad with a spicy peanut dressing I made. Tonight - pasta with a "sauce" of popped tomatoes & arugula/spinach
  3. My poor tired fingers! Glad I could help.
  4. You are really stressing about finals and maybe even going home. So...it might have nothing to do with the food, Hon. You will be fine.
  5. ot I noticed there was a little dark dot on KC. We went to San Diego once for Thanksgiving a few years ago. It was quite cool. Didn't stop my boys ( hub included) from building skate parks/ mountain bike trails on the beach. We don't do sand castles!
  6. Did you try or look into any of the answers you were given a few weeks ago? https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/98258-not-getting-better-please-help/#entry838335
  7. You could find Paleo recipes and just add what you can eat or subtract what you can't. Or start your own dating forum?
  8. Hey Mo! Looks like you have your answer! You are having great improvement with the gluten-free diet. It is possible to have IBS and Celiac. The way I understand " real" IBS ( not the " I Be Stumped version") is that the large intestine spasms causing it not to work properly. I would wait before trying any of those meds tho. I bet this mucous will...
  9. I saw a few reports on TV that said women would be more prone to the autoimmune diseases than men because our immune systems are slightly different. We have to be able to shut off the immune response to a parasitic invader living inside us for 9 months. I affectionately call mine M & J. . I don't have time to google that, but maybe you could find...
  10. Could be dry eye. Dry eyes are sore. Try a natural tear drop in them twice during the day. That helps me. Possible you are allergic to something in the air? Moldy fall leaves? A "real" Xmas tree in the house? If you think that may be it Zaditor or the generic allergy eye drops might help that.
  11. I suppose things could be different in Turkey. Not sure what kind of food labeling laws they have. The only cheese I have found in the US with gluten is a beer cheese. Otherwise, there is no reason to add wheat or barley to a chink of cheese.
  12. At the bottom of the main forum page, in tiny print "moderating team". Click it or here is a link dierectly to his profile. https://www.celiac.com/gluten-free/user/2-admin/
  13. How about "What Works for Ray Today"? I don't know how long you have been doing this, but you might be able to add some foods back in a few months or a year.
  14. We are doing email Xmas with Shroomie. Could you do that? I got a Pm from Paul with addresses but no email. I got addresses for: gluten-free LOver, GFinDC(Paul), Lisa Ski, & NC Dave. He didn't give me Patti or Shroomie. He might think I already had them? PAUL!
  15. Do you have separate butter and PB tubs? Things that can can be full of gluten bread crumbs? I second the avoiding eating out. You might be careful about what you order but that doesn't mean the kitchen is.
  16. Cream is dairy. I have never seen it with gluten in it. However, you never know what might be in the risotto recipe. the only way to know for sure, would be to ask and hope they give you a good answer.
  17. Wow! That's a new one for me. I use them all the time and don't worry about that. Ps. That little blue writing is hard for my old eyes to see and doesn't show up well on my phone.
  18. Sorry. I thought I had put this link on here earlier. Open Original Shared Link "How much gluten should be consumed prior to being screened for celiac disease? It’s best to continue a normal, gluten-containing diet before being screened and diagnosed. If a gluten-free diet has been followed for more than a few weeks, then we recommend eating a...
  19. I think there is a difference between "curing Celiac" and "healing from Celiac". These diets, probiotics, etc can help you "heal" but they are not a "cure". There is no reputable medical/scientific data that a Celiac can go back to eating gluten with no ill effects once thier gut is healed.
  20. I think, if I were new to this forum, I would trust a Celiac research facility over the word of some guy posting on an internet forum. Also, a doctor is more likely to read info from a medical center than posts on an internet forum. Univ of Chicago has a lot of info on thier site and it is easy to read. That is why I often post links to it.
  21. The reason you haven't seen anything lately is that it was not approved and it was set aside. That is what Takala and Peter were trying to say. Here's a thread from Oct about a petition to try to get a vote/resolution on the bill. https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/97190-petition-for-gluten-free-labeling-on-white-house-website-celiaccom/page__st_...
  22. It takes a while to " grow" new red blood cells. You make about 1/120 of your total red blood cells each day. They live about 120 days. You need B12 to help you use the iron to make healthy blood cells. Either get a shot or get some sublingual ( bypasses your messed up intestines).
