  1. My store told me 98% of what they slice is gluten-free but to be sure I had to come at 6am to get a clean slicer. I like Hormel Natural. It's with the already slice meats. They have a roast turkey & chicken, smoked turkey (our fav), salami. Yum and low cal - 3 slices about 50-60 calories. I know how it is when your kid likes something and they don...
  2. That's so funny. As I was reading I thought," that will increase her food choices.". Have fun at salsa class.
  3. I believe you meant to say ing sick!
  4. Blue cheese does not contain gluten. We had a thread about that before. Maybe cheeses made in Europe?
  5. That sounds like a fun job. Also, sounds like they like you, so if any more hours come up, they will go to you. I am one of those people that actually like little kids, too.
  6. Kraft has a coorporate policy to label clearly any gluten containing ingredients, so you can always feel safe with a Kraft product. I haven't seen any dressing that aren't gluten-free but We only use a few flavors. Have found that a lot of bottled marinades have wheat in them. Iguess to make them a little thicker.
  7. Please post pics here or on Da Book of the new apricot fruity puppy! We are excellent pet sitters at our house. You just put the dogs in seats on the plane and send them here.
  8. You highness, please refer to this post. I bruise it every year in my ski boots. He gave me whY he called "toe condoms". They are little silicone covers that go on your toes. They help protect your toes by spreading out the pressure so it's not all on my nail.
  9. Went to the podiatrist. Not especially hunky but very nice. I will live and he doesn't have to amputate. May have to work on it a little more if it doesn't behave. Gave me ideas to keep this from happening again. Buddy the truck will live for $440. Auto shop guy said he was really lucky he didn't damage it more. Should be out of car hospital today...
  10. I love that show. I also appreciate some of the dumb cartoons on Nick and Cartoon Network when I'm sad or need a laugh. Afraid to admit, but I also, like Ghost Whisperer.
  11. Didn't doc give you a script for big big doses of iron? My percription ones were gluten-free. Don't remember the brand, pharmacy told me brand & I called. Not sure what the other ingredients are.
  12. Yeah! The BK king and the pop up clown. Shudder... Could make a horror movie. And the food has never been good, ever.
  13. I believe that was Jess's point, also.
  14. Appreciate that thought. Its very odd. Since he was merging onto the highway, he noticed there were no cars close and thought "it will be easy to merge.". The wheel then rolled into the concrete barrier between sides of the highway. And the tow truck guy got the wheel by going down the other direction and reaching over the barrier.
  15. The good news first: No one was hurt. 1st son was taking 2nd son to the big food pantry to help. As they were in the merging lane on the highway, the rear wheel flew off his truck and bounced across 5 lanes of traffic. Somehow missing many other cars. My son keep his cool, and pulled the truck back over and onto the shoulder. Thus, ruining the brake...
  16. Good thought! The website shows people running and says Sport Med.
  17. I feel so old! I have an appointment with a Podiatrist tomorrow. That just seems to me someone old people go to. I bruised my big toenail and it fell off after a long while. The new toenail isn't growing in right. Its like its trying to grow into my toe instead of over. I'm just falling apart!
  18. Many, many moons ago, when I was pregnant I would wake up and not be able to go back to sleep. I would get up and sit with feet up/lay on sofa and read or watch TV. I would usually get really sleepy quickly but if I stayed in bed I would not get back to sleep. When you read about how to combat sleep issues, one of the important things is that bed...
  19. Went to the spice shop. Got a nice mix of Romano, parm, garlic & basil. Also, smoked paprika and anchiote powder that are hard to find around here.
  20. Maybe we have the same phone number too! Different area codes and zip codes since I have never recieved your mail. Love the names on the food! The pie is beautiful. (This comment will look strange if someone goes back and reads it after you change your av)
  21. Yes. Maybe your a bit tired, dear. You should rest. Oh Hell! I can't figure how to get my pics inserted either. It asks for an http address and my pics are just on my computer so the address is 52&&& West $@&@& Street.
  22. I did that same thing. I knew they had a gluten-free cookie dough so I grabbed the Oreo one. My 14 yr old son grabbed it and read the ingredients. He takes such good care of me.
  23. KC is an odd place. It's not unusual to see a storm trooper, gorilla suits, stealth bomber flying over, Nascar drivers and trailers, horse and carriages, black helicopters....
