  1. You may just have to put your foot down. But first, try once more explaining that going out to eat and getting sick is not a treat to you. A treat for you would be to cook with your mom or dad. If they still insist, you could refuse to go- " No, thanks. You go. I'll stay here and have...". Or eat first and just get a drink and refuse to order food. ...
  2. Most are gluten-free. They even have a gluten-free cookie dough. They have a few with glutonous bownies or oreos.
  3. The black beans should be plain but I have seen enchilada sauce with wheat added for thickness. Might check that.
  4. I think our invitation must have gotten lost in the mail. That's OK. We have our own light sabers.
  5. Did they let anyone hold the baby? I can understand the bathroom thing. I wouldn't want to impose help with wiping, etc on someone I don't know well with no kids. I'm betting the wife's OCD is getting worse and he is afraid to make her angry. They haven't been anywhere alone, even for a few minutes, since the baby was born. That seems a bit odd. I...
  6. I bring toaster bags that you put your bread in. Google toaster bags gluten free and they come up. I got the ones in the green packaging "Toast it". Make sure you get the full size, some I saw only covered the bottom of the bread. These were originally made for people in dorms to heat pizza or grilled cheese in a toaster.
  7. I felt sad at first and I have never been a huge bread eater. What made it more fun was to find products and food I might not have tried before. We went to a Persian restaurant and it was good. Tried sun flower seed butter & almond butter and loved them. Also, realize that most stuff you eat is gluten-free unless it involves bread. My son who doesn...
  8. You have a baby now. 8 hours of cooking can be hard. My hub used to take the boys to walk the dog off leash since no one is at the park on Thanksgiving. It's a good time for hub to set a tradition to get the baby (later kids) out of the way and busy.
  9. My 14 yr old boy who has been my biggest help with gluten-free asked if there is anyway we could still have his dad's rolls for Thanksgiving. Everyone loves them. I never ate many cause I was never a bread person. The plan is to make a double batch next door - one batch for us & one for the neighbor. I'll be careful with the other foods and getting...
  10. Ok. Remember the part about don't think just go quickly. After work tomorrow, stop at the store and go in. Just do it quick. I can't fly there and put a collar and leash on you, drag you into the store, every time you need Tide or TP (and we all need a lot of TP on this forum).
  11. You could have an inner ear infection. They don't always hurt. I had a friend that kept wobbling on her High heels. We kidded her about it but she said she was dizzy and everything was off. Had a horrible ear infection that took 6 weeks of antibiotics to get rid of .
  12. Connie, Did you go to the grocery today?
  13. Yeah, Jason! Sounds like there might be another date?
  14. Patti, This is the link to Jersey Housewife, Theresa's bankruptcy auction. You should check it out. Open Original Shared Link
  15. I was just thinking the other night, my son needs some balls for his pasta. I prefer Italian sausage.
  16. Shroomy, I have thought the same thing about that commercial. Even gluten free they look like too much!
  17. I think it's a good topic of conversation. If you both have it in common. Guys like to talk about stuff like that. Better than potty issues, parasites, and Yetis.
  18. I agree with Sis. You were panicking. Tomorrow, go to a grocery without the kids. Go up and down 4 aisles and buy 2-4 items. Even if you don't need anything, get a bag of frozen green beans and a container of salt or sugar. You can do that, right? You've done that a thousand times. Here's what I was told to do when you are skiing and you get scared...
  19. Walmart has waffle makers for $22-30. You might be able to drizzle the batter on a piece of parchment paper on a cookie sheet and bake? or cook on the stove in a frying pan? Most people like Van's frozen waffles, too.
  20. Yes but is your underwear held on with binder clips?
  21. Jess, this local shop has a "Panties of the Month Club". One of the owners is on the Bravo show "Work of Art" and doing well ( hasn't been eliminated last I saw). Open Original Shared Link
