  1. My mom's friend keeps insisting that I don't need to be as careful as worrying about contaminated wooden spoons, etc. My mom just tells her "Her doctor and the doctors at the University of Chicago want her to do this." The "doctors at U of C" comes from my reading thier info on the website & that they sent me. Prestigous sounding doctors make an impression...
  2. Rey schell - you always have so much energy. The cakes sound lovely. I'm also jealous that you have a freezer big enough for all those cakes. Brows - Interesting fact about the half brows. I have had my hairdresser dye mine along with my hair because all my life mine are much darker then my hair. Gave up on that, just cost money & didn't do much...
  3. Think of all that cholesterol & nitrates as little monsters entering thier bloodstream & piling up in big piles in thier veins & landing on thier hips. Of course you will feel obligated to perform CPR if required because you are a good person.
  4. I would require a hotel room also. Its not high maintenance, its medically necessary. That's my new excuse. Gets me out of long bus rides with teens & camping trips with scouts. Some of the robotics teams are stuck in the States. I hope they didn't have to fly to NY & be stuck there. Would be cheaper & nicer to be stuck in Atlanta...
  5. What were the other ingredients? Its also possible you are sensitive to something else, too. Could have gotten food poisoning. Let's check the ingredients first for clues.
  6. I have a seperate counter space in my kitchen with a cabinet underneath. The glutinous bread, crackers, toaster, etc are on or in this cabinet. We try to make lunch sandwiches & snacks over on this counter. Helps to keep the crumbs in 1 known area. The drawers under this counter are "junk" drawers - batteries, phone chargers, etc. so if crumbs fall...
  7. I haven't tried the Pamelas because I am not a big pancake eater. However, my husband adds cinnamon, cloves, ginger, vanilla & a little brown sugar to regular pancake mix & it makes them soooo much better. You could try that with the Pamelas. Also, I found that when I tried gluten-free stuff right after going gluten-free I found myself comparing...
  8. (Hearty Applause) Brava! You are a poet & I didn't know it. (obviously, I'm not)
  9. Tis possessed by Martha Stewart! Throw some more stuff in & see what it turns into. Sounds very nice. I love birds. We are bossed around by many backyard birds at our house. The wrens greet us each morning very loudly and complain about the lack of delicious spiders. The robins follow Hub around trying to get him to dig up the dirt...
  10. That will look beee-u-tee-ful on Rey Schells' perfectly "Wenned" hair. What makes a guy think to even do this? Apparently the women there don't suit him. So sad about Simon. But so happy about Dad! Happy birthday Bev's Dad! Sounds great Patti! Maybe you can get a house that you can operate. Yum! When...
  11. The pic on my av is the robot guts. It doesn't look like a person - more like a coffee table with weird wheels. It can run sideways $ kick a soccer ball. I have changed the spelling of rachelle to Rey Schell because I heard some where that "rey" means king in some language I do not speak. Could mean baker or mommy for all I know. Still in the running...
  12. I don't use the salad bar anymore because I worry that tongs used in the croutons yesterday, may be in the carrots today and not cleaned well. I also worry that someone will use the tongs from one itme to another. They could drop a crouton in and pull it out but leave crumbs. The fruit on our local salad bar is next to cake slices and muffins.
  13. Congrats queen Rey Schell. Soooo soo happy Charles has a varmint free heart! Patti- I'm here with present & future techies of the world & I can' barely understand how to post on this forum. Our poor robot is trying hard. Won 2 of 3 so far today. The poor thing is barely holding on. All the previous matches have worn it's pieces &...
  14. I got the same reply. Like I tell my kids- re-read it! Don't rely on spell checks and editor programs.
  15. Patti: Funny story Jess : That was beautiful Suze: My dog gets a leperosporosis vaccine. It's something nasty in standing water. Trying to reply from my iPad & it dosen't work well with this forum. I think I will name my iPad Maxi. Robotics is going well so far. Some guest in the hotel kept complaining about the kids. They were asleep...
  16. Oh Em! I'm so sorry! Here they test them before they are allowed to be adopted. He has spent the last few months with your family in a happy home.
  17. Funny you should say that... Dean Kamen, the founder & god of FIRST robotics has a company that makes prosthetics. I'll see what the kids come up with. Afraid it might involve "pool noodles" & hydraulics.
  18. Your power is awesome! Please forgive me! The sperm tree in my front yard is in full stinky bloom. The robins like it. They always have a nest in it. Of course birds cannot smell. Leaving this evening to join the robotics team in Atlanta for the Nationals. Afraid our poor bot will be run over but we will have fun!
  19. Maybe lIke the bachelor. Gluten free dates. Or maybe more of a competition. They have to cook for the Celiac and get eliminated if they gluten her.
  20. I just posted this & then the whole next page that wasn't there a minute ago appeared. Whooow!
  21. (whispering) Shroomie - I think they might be making a pun on "Tampon". Not completely sure. Sometimes thier word play is a bit of a stretch. Shh! Don't want them mad at me.
  22. The Red Robin website does say that they grill on the same grill as everything else, so there could be problems. From the Red Robin site" AS WE COOK, PREPARE, AND SERVE YOUR MEAL, THE LISTED MENU OPTION MAY COME IN CONTACT WITH THE ALLERGEN YOU WANT TO AVOID. FOR EXAMPLE, WE MIGHT COOK THE LISTED MENU OPTION ON THE SAME BROILER AS A MENU ITEM THAT...
  23. I have some hard plastic spoons but they have little holes or a crease where they connect to the handle. I was afraid they may not clean well enough. Also, one that were used for regular pasta- pasta leaves a slimyness on plastic. I use glass (Pyrex) for alot of stuff - it should clean off well.
  24. Your family & mine can be on Jerry Springer. I have a member that moved in his ex-dil a few weeks after his wife died. The one that died acted like your's on Friday night - at my wedding of all things (had to be about her). Some question on why she died. At least this all happened when his kids were mostly adults. We can't pick our relatives but...
  25. The strange & magical juices must have worked! Your back! Had one of those "new wife" creatures in our family for awhile. Everything had to be about her or she had a fit. At least your's has the sense to realize she should hide.
