  1. I have dreamt about them at the time they died or when they thought they were dieing. Creepy right? When oldest was 2-4 years old he used to see a "Grampa" in his room. It made him feel happy. I love when everyone goes back to school & work. M(14) tried to tell me how many weeks of school left but I got severe stomach pains & couldn...
  2. I like a man who knows his place!
  3. This evidence (forum acting up & the crazy microwve) along with Jess's magical Crockpot should be taken seriously. Machines are going to rule the world! We think the kids FRIST Robots are in crates being shipped home but.....
  4. Red wine helps clean me out.
  5. That's my GI doc's name!
  6. Quite true. Mine would text me.
  7. Did you read the ingredients?
  8. Good job Jason! Wouldn't have done any good to get in a fight & you could have ended up finding out what passes for gluten-free in jail. You could send him a note detailing everything that happened but I doubt he would read past the first 2 lines. If you do want to do that, write it & wait a few days. Then re-read & have someone or 2 or 3 someones...
  9. Can you do corn or rice Chex? My youngest wouldn't eat any mushy baby food. These are good because they break up easily in the mouth. Mix a few of the treats together Chex, Kix, a few M&Ms, raisens, etc.
  10. I hope so too. Like Jess said - maybe she will be even better. Not only will she want to tatoo the eybrows but maybe pierce them too! The kids & I missed you at Costco yesterday.
  11. You hate to discourage housecleaning. My now 14 year old had a similar issue in Kindergarten. Many boys liked the same 2 girls: Elaina who was pretty but not as pretty but very fun & friendly & the exotic "Beautious Alaina". The boys decided the girls would trade off being Queen of the classroom - one week & the other the next week. The...
  12. Maybe that's what they talk about!
  13. Do any of the other lowly "advanced members" wonder what the Moderators discuss in the very Private Moderators Only Forum? Great philosophical discussions on the meaning of Celiacs? Plotting to take over the world? Sharing recipes? Hmm...
  14. Glad to see you're back! Start small with "toe-slapping" and work your way up! Might taste even better if you put them in a hot oven for a bit.
  15. Looked at the website for the company that makes these brands: Clabber Girl, Rumsford, Davis & Hearth Club. They all say gluten-free. I've seen recipes that say gluten-free vanilla, too. But all the real vanilla I've found is gluten-free. Maybe the imitation isn't?
  16. Even if you have Celiac probably part of your intestines are working OK. You have something like 22 feet of small intestine. When mine were biopsied, the bottom few feet were fine. The OK parts are able to take in vitamins. The point of giving you a lot of a vitamin is to make sure the good parts of your intestine always have some to chew on (digest)...
  17. Just a few thoughts for living with Gluten Eaters! I have these thin plastic "cutting boards". Got them at Bed bath & beyond but have seen at Walmart, etc. Usually a set of 4 is less then $10. I put one on the counter when preparing my food even if I have washed the counter or table. Could use for a place mat, too. Would give you a good surface...
  18. A little time on your hands tonight Patti?
  19. I don't think I spend all that much extra for special gluten-free foods. I do get pretzels & crackers & pasta. If your Health care reimb plan is like ours - I would submit it with lots of accompanying evidence of the cost difference (ad for regular Mac & cheese & receipt for actual gluten-free) & see what happens. Ours seems to see...
  20. These guys were more tan colored & didn't have the leaf-like appendages. They had dark blobs on the end of thier appendage. Very cute. So I .... Oh S$%#! I forgot what I was replying to.
  21. Having pollen issues. Thought others might like to see this: hank you for your inquiry concerning the presence of allergens in products produced by our company. We are a food company committed to very high standards and we have a clearly defined policy of complying with food regulations. Additionally, we work closely with legislative authorities and...
  22. Glad you could tell what he is. We saw a whole bunch of them at the Aquarium in Atlanta. Got to be one of the most interesting looking sea creatures.
  23. Yea! New holes in her head! I miss those posts, too. But I babble on anyway. Am going to get lasagna sauce started. First time I've made it with rice noodles. I understand we do not cook them first which is a blessing.
