  1. they would go thru the motions, but unless you saw them take it out of the box, there is no way to know for sure...
  2. it wouldn't surprise me if a significant % of osteo was celiac related.
  3. if they were red before scratching, perhaps an histamine reaction?
  4. I think this could have been a really big teaching moment. and I would prefer to see the episode stand with a f/u of how inappropriate it had been.
  5. immediately return to doc. do not pass go. she is getting NO benefit from the iron if it, and the food comes back up. has she seen a speech pathologist to check on the chocking? and at 19 months she shouldn't need milk or formula, though I could see that this may be the only way to get nutrition into her at this point.
  6. sanitizing the grates is not the same as cleaning ALL residue off of them, which would be nie on impossible. My bet would be gluten from the grates.... also, how are her calcium, vit D levels, and phosphorus and vit K?
  7. I would check into digestive enzymes.
  8. wouldn't worry about the positioning of the entry point for the needle, if they weren't in the vein you would def. know! No, my thought was someone took what was supposed to be used for you, for their own use. by the way, Versed is the brand name for what you had. good luck. t
  9. I would wonder if you actually received the med at all. good luck
  10. yes, you don't need to be pathologically low blood sugar to get symptoms. can be the "rate" of drop that will do it.
  11. that is what I was getting at....could have been 400 for all you know! she is healing, obviously. testing in another 6 months should be interesting.
  12. what was her original result? if it were in the 300's say, you have had a big improvement....
  13. copper....probably not absorbing it well.
  14. See, I am looking at it the other way.....IF you can correlate (I know, correlation is not causation, but a place to start) diet with mental health wouldn't this be a fine way to kick their arse?
  15. that makes me wonder about some patients (not celiac) whose docs are SO happy with really low numbers.....geesh
  16. What was your TSH? was the whole "cascade" done? any antibodies?
  17. Low B12 can indeed come from gastric surgery.....
  18. the only reason for doing the "total" IgA is to determine that you make enough so that the testing valid. If you can't get the DGPs run, the only thing you can do is trial the diet.
  19. this might be more neurologic than derm. related.
  20. sea salt, I do think has iodine in it naturally. non iodized salt is available.
  21. Hmmm most of my knowledge comes off the back of the jar, lol. they are marked as to what they are intended to digest....sorry!
  22. it is possible to get a - result, maybe even more often than your doc quotes.....get the repeat endo and go gluten free.
  23. enzymes, rather than bacteria, may be your issue....rather the lack of.....I would wonder about GMO foods as well.
