  1. Good luck finding humans with celiac disease to test this pill! LOL No one would eat gluten on purpose, not even for the hope of a cure..too bad. Red is right, anyway; we are MUCH healthier. Since I stopped eating out (because I'm afraid of cross contamination) I have energy again like I haven't in years. And no tummy aches. I don't ever want to go...
  2. Are teas gluten-free? I have the worst sore throat and since going gluten-free I haven't researched tea. Hot tea, that is, like Lipton or Echinacea tea. ANY hot tea will do...please tell!!!! and quick! Thanks, Jenn
  3. What kind of sour cream is gluten-free? Anyone know? I need to use some tonight:)
  4. The $100, 000 question is: why do we get dizzy AFTER going gluten-free? I never had anything like it before going gluten-free, even though I had a ton of stomach pain.
  5. I agree with Kati; if you're not 100% gluten-free it could be why you don't feel better. Honestly, once you start eliminating gluten your body gets really angry when a little slips in. I would even venture to say it makes you worse off than you were before. I also think the first 3 months of gluten-free diet are just as miserable as being on gluten. I am...
  6. I don't really gag that much but I definitely am nauseated a lot more since going gluten-free. I think my body is trying to adjust to this huge change. So far I'm dealing with it pretty well. We'll see if it subsides....
  7. That "intestinal flu" is a virus, but richard is right, it's not influenza. People call it "stomach flu" but it's usually a virus (rotovirus is the most popular)you pick up from touching things...I always carry hand sanitizer and never touch my face, eyes, nose, etc. before washing my hands. And I never touch food w/out washing my hands first.
  8. Well, I have a question..without a doubt I feel better off gluten, but not I get nauseated a lot....what's the deal? I never had this nausea before....pain, yes, gas, yes, but no nausea.
  9. I've decided: I'm not going to have the test. I am SO much healthier now than before and I cannot glutenize myself for 3 weeks. If I continue feeling better, than great. If I get worse, well, it can't hurt to not eat wheat, now can it? Seriously, can anyone think of a benefit to eating wheat?
  10. This website is the best place to go! Since I realized I had this, I come here when I have questions. It's free and honestly, most people here know more than the doctors when it comes to eating gluten-free...for sure! And, you don't even have to leave your house:)
  11. I agree with you! And organic is more expensive, but considering how much I used to spend eating out, it pales in comparison.
  12. Well, I'm not quite sure if I reacted to A1 or not....last night I was REALLY bloated but I didn't have diarrhea or nausea. today I felt fine..so I'm not sure if I reacted or not, but I think I'll stay away from A1 just in case!
  13. Well I ate it and I feel OK so far. It also has caramel coloring BUT Kraft does say they will clearly list wheat, so I guess it's OK. If I get no reaction, I will know for sure. Apparently some celiacs can't handle distilled vinegar. So far I'm OK. Thank god for Kraft foods and good labels.
  14. What is whey or whey protein and is it gluten-free? I made some potatoes tonight that specifically say gluten free on the bag but have whey protein in it. I assume it's safe?
  15. Where can I get this Bare essentuals brand? I need some lipstick STAT and I don't want to use anything that might not be gluten-free. I use Mac make up but I'll have to check on it now.
  16. I use Oil of Olay which I think is gluten-free..I certainly hope so! I heard Clinique make up was gluten-free. they have a great moisturizer.
  17. I eat the peanut butter puffs all the time with no issue, but who knows? You might try Barbara's puffins honey rice. They are gluten-free and great! Or Energfoods makes a great granola mix. You can eat it like cereal or take it on the go, like I do.
  18. Mel, Don't give up! We've all been there and we are here for you. To be honest, when you ask how we do it I will tell you: I don't eat out. I buy my groceries at Whole Foods ( I have to drive 45 min there but I do it once a week), and I cook, cook, cook. And this coming from someone who although I am good at it, hates to cook. I used to eat out 3-5 times...
  19. I'm trying Nature's Hilights pizza crust tonight. I've had nothing but frustrations with making my own crust. I'd rather buy frozen. I'll let you know how it turns out.
  20. A1 Steaksauce..I think it's gluten-free cus' it Kraft foods and don't they list wheat? It does have distilled vinegar...does anyone know for sure? Thanks, Jennifer
  21. Anyone have this problem with their pizza crust? I tried it tonight, had all the right ingredients and followed instructions to a T. I am so mad....I spent seven bucks on it, made a wreck of my kitchen, was left with a bunch of dishes, and no pizza. Anyone else out there use this product with success?
  22. I wonder if the white chocolate ones are gluten-free..those are my FAVE.
  23. You probably caught a bacteria or virus. Rotovirus is extremely popular this time of year and it will make you very sick to your stomach with diarrhea or vomiting, or both. You can get it anywhere; from touching a shopping cart or any surface someone else touched. The flu is a respiratory illness and not stomach related. Disinfect your house and the things...

    ARCHIVED Help Me

Anorexia and bulemia make obesity or being overweight worse. Once you stop vomiting or begin eating again after having anorexia or bulemia, your metabolism has changed and you gain more weight. I have several friends who are recovered from bulemia and have to live with being heavier than they were before they started because of all of the purging. Other...
  25. I've posted on this topic several times now. I even started one thread on it. Since going gluten-free, I get dizzy, lightheaded, and nauseated. My stomach feels much better pain wise, but these other symptoms are kind of cumbersome. I am hoping the longer I am gluten-free, they will disappear. The dizziness is not as bad as it was at first, but now I do get...
