Like today I had that coffee at work and I felt that feeling coming over me, sure enough. I would equate that feeling with true misery. I went into Walgreens one day to get some cigarettes ( i know...
  2. Or you could ask the physician that you work for if he can get you in sooner, because I used to work for a doctor and you'd be surprised who knows who and how quickly you can get in. I would definitely ask him.

    ARCHIVED Taco Bell

This revelation that I can eat Corn Chex got me to thinking - probably taco shells are fine then too, correct? I eat Fritos every day.
  5. WEll, I'm just really really sad to hear this. This is something I hadn't even thought about and changes everything for my own private ritual when I take the Eucharist.

  8. Hey Everybody! I'm in such a great mood. I feel like who I remember I used to be So, around the Holidays, I bought myself a very expensive deep fryer because I love homemade onion rings, frickled pickles, etc. My question is ... is there any other kind of coating to use to fry things? I used cracker crumbs for the pickles and white flour...

  10. I just went and bought a bottle of KC Masterpiece BBQ sauce and, like I always do, went online and looked it up. Guess what? I clicked on the first link and it brought me here! Yeah, so good thing I saved my receipt, huh?
  11. OMG LOL! You were trying to tell him not to use flour and he took the flower centerpiece off the table? OMG that is hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!! Not laughin' at you, but that is a REALLY funny story!
  12. cuz last night I had a reaction and all I ate was Heinz ketchup which online says is gluten free and one of the ingredients is "spices".....I thought that was pretty vague and think maybe it's something I (everyone) should watch out for in the future.
  13. Can "spices" on ingredient listings be assumed to contain gluten?
  14. Coffeetime - Where did you find the gluten free section at your Krogers? Cuz I looked all over mine and couldn't find anything gluten free! Thank you!
  15. my mom is VERY lactose intolerant. She can't have dairy, lactose or caseinate which all are just different words for dairy. She has a terrible time with it, and I'll tell ya, sometimes she'll be in the powder room all day on Wednesday and swears she had no dairy and then she'll remember, oh, yeah, last Sunday we went to that new restaurant....something...
  16. so, my family met at mom's tonight for supper. We all got talking for so long that we ordered Chinese food. Then I thought, oh man, I don't even know if I can eat chinese food. My daughter said, "isn't gluten the stuff that makes the rice sticky?" That's all I needed to hear, be it true or not, so I made a burger on a plate with Morton's Lite Salt...
  17. So true! I'm one week gluten free today and I haven't been able to eat yogurt or ice cream. I can drink all the milk I want, but anything else dairy sends me into orbit. I'm hoping that will pass (pardon the pun) I can eat cheese too, forgot to mention that.
  18. I will try that. I just had a little nip of coffee at work, made me a little dizzy but not too bad. I will try your idea. I love tea, too.
  19. Hi. Is that just "set" tea? Where you put the tea bags in water and let it sit (set)? Kentucky has a whole other language, I do believe. LOL. But is that what you mean?
