  1. I would be more suspicious of the micropone and anything else you put your mouth close to or touched that other musicians were using. Was it a bar? I can't be in a bar where there's lots of beer being consumed or a restaurant where there's lots of baking. I don't know if it the airborne gluten or just all the people eating gluten stuff with their hands...

  8. Some dieticians are worthless (will only tell you what you already know) and some can help guide you through an elimination diet or additional food intolerance/allergy testing. If your insurance covers it then I would go to one just to see if you can learn anything. If your insurance does not cover it I would not bother.

  10. Caramel color in the US and Canada is not a concern. It is made from corn. Dr Pepper is gluten-free. I'm super sensitive and it's my first choice for an indulgence when I want a cola. I usually have the Heritage stuff but haven't been able to find it lately so I've been drinking the regular now and then without any problems. Enjoy!

    Ditto what Roda said. You would have to go back to eating gluten for an offical diagnosis (and even then it could be false negative). It's too bad your dr didn't test you before telling you to try the gluten-free diet. If your kids are not gluten-free, I would take them to the dr and ask for testing based on your symptoms recovery with a gluten-free diet...
  12. If you have been gluten-free for a while then NO. The bare minimum is 6 weeks, but the more common recomendations I have seen is 3 months. That's eating the equivalent of 3 to 4 slices of bread a day for 3 months. If you can only get so far in without feeling miserable then you already have your answer that you need to be gluten-free.   14. The statistics say that immediate relatives of those with celiac (parents, children, or siblings) have a 1 in 22 chance of have celiac themselves. I don't know how this translates now that you know her genes but since you are diagnosed celiac your mom has AT LEAST a 1 in 22 chance of having it herself.   19. If the tests are negative you won't know why for sure (is it a false negative or he really doesn't have it or his celiac hasn't been triggered yet). But that would be the SAME even if you had no restrictions and could gluten him up really well for 3 months.   23. IMO, there is just not enough research on this to know the long term effects of eating wheat-based sourdough breads. You can use the same methods you used before for making a sourdough starter out of gluten-free flour. There is no need to use wheat flour and no reason to risk it.
