  1. Forgot to mention that lately I have been having leg and body spasms that wake me up at night.
  2. Hi girl scout. I have been scouring the ms forum since I feel that my symptoms are suggestive of ms. I have had tingly, weak and sore fingers (all of them) and now my hands are affected. I also have bad neck and shoulder to head pain. And what I believe is triginal neuralgia (intense nerve pain) in my ear. And fatigue. Sooooo tired and heavy....
  3. Sounds very similar to the run around I am getting. I am so tired. It is now my worst symptom. I have had loads of autoimmune blood tests, thyroid and CBC etc. Am not sure where to go from here. I am feeling worse not better. My abdom pain is less though!
  4. I haven't got the results back yet. But I will be sure to let everyone know. I visited a new GI doc last week. He suggested I may have IBS and fibromyalgia - in other words he doesn't know. I haven't been able to start the probiotics yet because I am having two breath tests for sibo. Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth. Am really tired! Every day...
  5. I meant iron came back as positive for anemia!
  6. Hi. I had constant abdominal pain since having a hysterectomy. After 8 months of complaining to my Dr and being told to do pilates, I became extremely fatigued and had bad D (like 8 times a day). I went to drs and insisted on tests, starting with iron which came back as positive. I had ultrasounds and then a colonoscopy and a gastroscopy, biopsy came back...
  7. Hi guys. We made half of the best kitchen bench gluten free. I feel so much safer now that I have my bench which I keep clean. The rest of the family leave bread crumbs (poison as I call it) all over the rest of the kitchen agh! My husband and 2 teenagers refuse to go gluten-free. My son even suggested I get my own apartment! Teenagers! I am not sure...
  8. Hi miss Bonnie. You may recall that I am 14 months gluten-free and am still having abdominal pain, morning nausea and fatigue. I haven't stopped trying to find out what else is wrong with me, in addition to Coeliac. Last week I saw a new gastroenterologist and he suggested I may have IBS and fibromyalgia. I suggest that you look for other food intolerances...
  9. I hope giving up dairy works for you. I tried using lactate milk and felt no better. I then switched to rice milk and felt no better. Now I am back to cow milk and feel no worse. I agree that you probably have food sensitivity issues. For me, removing fructose foods was the best improvement after removing gluten. My new gastroenterologist says that...
  10. Hmmm. I am 42 yo and have been gluten-free for 1 yr. I have had constant low grade abdominal pain, morning nausea and fatigue for the past 15 or so months. My celiac disease seemed to be triggered by major abdominal surgery (hysterectomy to remove fibroid). I guess your Ob will be able to tell you if scar tissue or female parts or endo may account for the...
  11. I too get bad neckpain and headaches which I wake up with. I am in the process of working out why I get this pain.
  12. Hey Kim. There is lots of useful advice on this forum. You might get more replies if you post a new topic Check around and you will find heaps of nutritional advice. It is a great idea to see a dietitian tho. I saw one. Hi newtoitall. I can understand that if you are feeling pain or tiredness like many new coeliacs, it must be daunting thinking about...
  13. Thanks for the reply irishheart. Yes all my levels are in the normal range. I wish it were that simple. I would expect that if I were being cc then my bloodwork would show antibodies. My recent tests have been normal. Cheers. Ps I will pm you but have to work out how first!
  14. Hi maximoo. I love rice and noodles but most restaurants when I travel, don't offer it on their menus.
  15. I am really tired too. And have ruled out thyroid problems. I too am thinking of lupus and want to get ANA test done I got it done 1 yr ago which was 1:80 speckled. It wasnt followed up and apparently with lupus it can fluctuate. Will let you know how I go over the next few weeks - I am getting tested for SIBO and candida (for gas and diarrhea). My Coeliac...
  16. I meant to add that I will put a referral to a neurologist on my request list for next time I visit my Dr.
  17. Thanks irishheart. I appreciate your thoughts. It's hard to know which direction to head in isn't it! Tomorrow I am off to a psychologist who specializes in helping people cope with pain and issues related to gastric illness. She is really helpful especially since she has Coeliac disease too. Next weekend I am having the first of two breath tests to test...
  18. Wow irishheart I really feel for you. I hope that your pain reduces quickly. I also am frustrated that we have to be Drs. I go to my Dr with a list of tests and referrals I want. I asked for a referral to a Coeliac specialist and showed her the details on my iPhone! I asked for a referral to a neurologist - she was stumped as to why I would want to see...
  19. Hi guys. I used to be vegetarian and was a wannabe vegan. It was my choice because I don't like harming animals. It wasn't long after I was diagnosed Coeliac that I decided that I could not get healthy on a vegetarian diet. Eating out was impossible. Since being diagnosed I have discovered lots of food intolerances that include legumes and many fruits...
  20. Hi miss Bonnie. Yes I am working full time as an engineer. To begin with I had a lot of time off work - a day off here and there and I worked from home in my pajamas. Now, a year later, I am certainly getting better, but on the weekends I am often in bed by 2pm for a few hrs. And by 2pm at work I am basically useless I am so tired. I managed to stay at work...
  21. I would just like to add that I too am fructose malabsorbent and find brown rice agonizing. It produces a much worse gastric reaction in me than gluten does.
  22. Also, get as many tests completed as you want to ( or can afford to).
  23. I agree with all the posters above. Get a new toaster and new wooden utensils and cutting board that are labelled gluten-free. Also I have found that allocating half of the best bench space in the kitchen as gluten-free has really reduced my anxiety about cc. I too have lots of pain both above and below the belly button. I am 1 yr post diagnosis and am...
  24. Hi kryptonite. Check out my post about gastrointestinal function profile. This test may provide useful data for a suitably trained clinician able to interpret the results. The test costs about $465 so it isn't cheap. If you have no other symptoms it's probably something not worth worrying about.
  25. Hi all. I have just deposited my stool sample in three small vials. They are sitting in the fridge waiting for a courier to pick them up and wisk them all the way to USA from Australia. If you want to learn more just google (Company Name Removed - They Spammed This Forum and are Banned) gastrointestinal function profile. My naturopath has recommended...
