  2. I think that you would burn the motor. The dough isn't very hard, but the hand mixer wouldn't survive. I didn't have stand mixer before neither, and I tried to find the ways how can I make things without the expensive stand mixer. My suggestion is: Proof the yeast. Put all dry ingredients in bowl and strain them few times through strainer for pasta....
  3. Thank you for the compliments. I understand the pain that we feel when we see something in store, or bakery that we were able to eat, and now we can just watch. If I make something that is good, really good I will share it right away with you guys. P.S.: If you like to have sweeter Challah, add 2 more Tbsp. of sugar.
  4. I just baked this. I divided dough in half. From one part I made a small Challah in bread pan with only three braids and from another I made an apple cake. I ate one big slice from cake and one slice from Challah. I
  5. I realized that I forgot to right salt in the ingredients. I fixed the recipe. I hope that people would make this recipe the right way.
  6. Check this: I just posted this. It's really good!

  8. Simona
  9. I made minestrone soup, meat and vegetables empanadas. For snack we will have just watermelon.
  10. I think provably yes. Another way that we are eating them is: 1. Spread grinded puppy seads mixed with powdered sugar over "dumplings" and pure some melted butter (golden brown) over them. 2. Mix shredded walnuts, or pecans with powdered sugar and pure melted butter over "dumplings". 3. Spread some farmar cheese, powdered sugar over them and pure...
  11. Maybe, I don't know. These are not real dumplings. I don't know how to call them. They are cross between donuts, cakes and dumplings. We are making them in my country all the time. The dough is made like for babka, or poppy seed strudel, but instead of baking it, we are steaming them. We are also making white bread in steam. We will eat this bread sliced...
  12. You can stuff them with any jelly, plum jam or Nutella.
  13. Gluten and casein free dumplings stuffed with Italian plums with chocolate syrup Ingredients: 1 box of Gluten free pantry French bread mix 1 teaspoon of Apple cider vinegar
  14. I just made soup from Sour Kraft and steamed some "donuts", "cakes" or "dumplings" (I don't know have to translate this)stuffed with Italian plums and covered with chocolate filling. I will post recipe later.
  15. It can be a pinched nerve in your spine, not muscle. Go to see good chiropractor. He should check your spine and correct it. It happened to me many times. The pain is unbearable and just very little movement would set it off. The pain pills wouldn't help much, if the nerve is still pinched. Others may have different ideas, but to me it sounds like pinched...
  16. I think I have DQ5 Open Original Shared Link and DQ 7.5 Open Original Shared Link
  17. I will put my new mixer on table when it will be in use. I did it yesterday. The mixer is holding this little cabinet together. The Challah that I baked was huge. I used 10x15 pan and it was full. I will post the recipe later. The first day I was in love with it. The second - it was ok. Today I made French toast from it - very good.
  18. Can you tell me what I have? The Kimball Genetics results: A DQA1*05 allele was detected but neither of the DQB1*02 alleles was detected. The DQ2 molecule is encoded by a DQB1*05 allele and a DQA1*02 allele. This individual is positive for half of the DQ2 heterodime. An individual who is positive for DQ2 and/or DQ8 is at rist for having and/or developing...
  19. I found a place for my mixer. It's between two chairs by the wall on top of small cabinet. And here is the picture from my counter top.
  20. I had twice Quest Lab, but each time the result came back negative. I posted the results here and people told me that I have 1/2 of DQ2. After I saw a doctor at Celiac Center in New York, I had another genetic test done through Kimball Genetics. It was a mouth swab. This lab works under Labcorp. This time the result came back positive. They did every alelle...
  21. I know that you mean well. I will eat just two bites from peach, or drink 1 cup plain water and I feel it. I will have postprandial hypotension. I will get dizzy right away. I won't eat breakfast most of the time. I will sip water, or I will have some fruit. I would be dizzy even after that. For lunch, about 1-2PM I will have gluten free bread with egg...
  22. I never heard about Vance's DeriFree. Thank you. Yesterday I made that Challah that I wanted. I didn't had Bette Batter flour and I made my own. the process was very funny. I was thinking that if somebody saw me from you guys, you would laugh very hard. All kitchen was up-side-down. OMG. Currently I live in home where kitchen counter is only 1 1/2 yards...
  23. I have allergy to all nuts, peanuts, milk casein, honey, kiwi, orange aroma (orange oil in peels) and I'm lactose and fructose intolerant. I was wondering the same thing. Usually the bread recipe that I read had water instead of milk in it.
  24. Gluten free Potato pancakes 5-6 shredded potatoes (3 cups)**
  25. I made potato pancakes with sour cream on top and minestrone soup. I also baked Challah bread and something like croissants stuffed with strawberry jelly for snack. My husband have a bowl of gluten free wide noodles with farmer cheese and butter from yesterday.
