  1. We use Tom's of Maine children's toothepaste.
  2. We are going to try a gluten challenge with our almost 3 year old daughter. All the GI said was to start with one serving and if she does ok increase to 3 servings. What would be the best food to challenge with? She does not tolerate dairy, eggs, or soy so it would need to be something without those things. Would a piece of gluten bread be the most likely...
  3. Are your raisins gluten free? I've heard that some raisins use wheat flour to keep them from sticking together. Just a thought. You would think that things like prunes and raisins would make a little one go but they did the oppisite with my girls, they could eat a whole bag of prunes and nothing would happen. Hope you get it figured out soon!
  4. I'm always a little bit worried when doctors just automatically assume kids will outgrow their intolerance's. Do you have a history of celiac disease in your family? I'm surprised that a doctor would take a negative test result, after knowing the patient is gluten free, as proof that it's not celiac disease. Have you thought about doing genetic testing? If...
  5. Thank you! I've found Kroger to be pretty good about their allergy labeling. Usually if it was processed on a line that also processes other allergens they list it. I was a little leary of their chili powder though. My girls seemed to react to the chili I made but I think it was the beans rather than the powder. I think we're going to forgo the spices for...
  6. We had this yummy gluten free vegan lasagna, it was delicious! http://www.bookofyum.com/blog/soy-free-dairy-free-but-still-decadent-cheesy-spinach-lasagna-366.html I used almonds instead of pine nuts for the "ricotta"
  7. Oops, just realized this is an old thread
  8. This recipe is not quit as good as the one I use for yeast/egg bread but it is really good. Open Original Shared Link And,haven't tried this one yet...waiting on my teff flour to come. This one looks good though. Open Original Shared Link
  9. I'm suspecting that we may be getting some cross contamination with our spices. Are Kroger brand spices ok? Specifically, is their chili powder safe? If not what is a recommendation for safe spices? Thanks!!
  10. I buy Bob's Red Mill, it specifically states gluten free
  11. Have you tried any of the milk alternatives? Almond, rice, hemp, etc.
  12. If you don't mind me asking, what brand of hemp milks did you test for gluten? And how did you test them?? My daughter has not been tested for celiac yet but is definitely gluten intolerant, she drinks the Living harvest hemp milk...it says it's gluten free but now I'm wondering about trace amounts. Thanks!
