  1. Judy- Glad the appt is done and that you got some answers. Knowing is the 1st step. Time to start researching lymphedema? We'll be here for you as you continue to walk through these things.... Beverly- That's really great news... Is he feeling a lot better now?
  2. Yes Judy...curious to hear how appt went...
  3. You are right, that isn't true. Unfortunately many doctors etc. still operate out of this old Celiac paradigm based only on D. I had constipation almost entirely...accompained by occasional D. You can have either or a combination. There is no "right or wrong" when it comes to celiac disease. There are many of us here who had C.
  4. Have any of you crafters ever tried to create your own sewing patterns or sewed a piece of clothing based off of one you have? I have wanted to make a shirt...but can't find any patterns that suit me. I have some great shirts I'd like to replicate and wondered about copying. They are more of a knit shirt, not a button-down type. Thanks for any thoughts...
  5. What recipe do you use for pie crust Kate?
  6. Glad it went well!
  7. Rosacea is frequently seen in us Celiacs. Some of the triggers for folks here are sun exposure, alcohol, esp wine and spicy foods. Mine has really improved with the metrocream (not gel). Mine came on late, but some of the people here did notice good improvement with their rosacea after going gluten-free.
  8. Oo, good tip!
  9. Yes, you can have food intolerance testing done. There are several labs that do this. I used Great Plains. They will partially bill the cost to some insurances, ie. Anthem. Open Original Shared Link
  10. Wow, that could be great for the celiac disease community. Hmmm, guess I need to mark my calendar in advance for these ! Thanks Tiffany!
  11. Yeah, as Leah said...tofu in general can fall apart. Make sure you get an extra firm variety for stirfrying.
  12. I would verify...I can tell you that all Mori-Nu Silken Tofu varieties are gluten-free. I think those are typically in the chilled section of the grocery...in little carboard boxes.
  13. Hmmm, I've kept Kinni bread in a cooler for a few days just fine. But, I never refroze it, either ate it or pitched any remainders. It just seemed to get a little funky to me and so I didn't want to refreeze. Mostly b/c a cooler isn't quite as cool as a fridge. Hope your trip goes well!
  14. But DANG IT Amy ! How about a nondairy gluten free pizza! Is that too much to ask? I'm tired of my poor vegan slices remaining chunks and not melting Happy for you Bev and the gluten-free facility now--woo hoo, eat up!
  15. Well, my friend, if you come up to visit I'd be MORE than happy to take you there so we could "play" Just 10-15 mins from the house !
  16. Oops... We all have made a mistake or too. Nectar bars are good!
  17. Wellll, her *given* name is Maggie, but she has plenty of other nicknames...including beotch when she's naughty. But don't worry--she likes it She is about 3-3 1/2... We got her from a shelter. She is a major lap cat. She pretty much alternates from sitting on the screened in porch to sitting on whoever is at the desk or on the couch One more fun...
  18. Ha ha ha Yeah, I haven't had time to go out and get a 'lip zip' this week Yes, she wishes that you would scratch her head
  19. That's too bad...looove their blondies! Good luck
  20. Tiffany- Why not use the yummy Namaste blondie's mix and add whatever you want to it, choc chips etc? It is so good and I add all kinds of goodies to it! They are essentially pan bars and I make them choc chip...
  21. Tiffany- You took a great posture with this one... If we all took this kind-of posture more often, there would be so much less conflict I think Oh and, yes, I would imagine them as gluten-free cakes too And damn--I missed your b-day, didn't I? I hope is was great !!
  22. Ha ha! Tame those pube hairs already Susan! That's a good question! It makes my hair look shiny, healthier and gives me great volume. Read below... Helps reduce dryness and brittleness--which is what the gray hair can be like. Might be worth a try ! Good luck with those (Do you ever use conditioners? That might help a bit. I use Giovanni...
  23. Ha ha! I am telling ya'll that Rosa Mosqueta rocks
  24. Yeah, those were a huge help to me in the beginning... How else would you know!??
  25. My mom has those periodically to ck her Hashi's...they haven't been too bad for her. Will say a prayer for you!
