  1. I use Kinnikinnick's italian white tapicoa bread for my sandwiches. I keep it frozen, then thaw and or toast for sandwiches. They have great english muffins I use too. My dh and I like to toast them on the grill and use them for buns. Manna from Anna's is good too--nice texture.
  2. Susan- I don't know if all their products are gluten-free. I have been checking as I go. But if you go to their website: Open Original Shared Link They list the ingredients to all their products. I've also e-mailed them in the past and they responded. The facial polish I use is: Open Original Shared Link Angela- I think we do too Go here...
  3. My fav cereal is Nutty Rice...made by Perky's, just bought recently by EnjoyLife. I will say that sometimes you have to think outside of the box (no pun intended : ) and think if a reaction is to something besides gluten. I have problems with other grains and ingredients, specifically corn, that are not related to gluten specifically. Milk is also an issue...
  4. I echo--get "Wheat Free, Worry Free" by Danna Korn...most reliable.
  5. Lola- An excellent book to read is "Wheat Free, Worry Free" by Danna Korn. Reliable and large-scope information...will educate you all about Celiac. I bought mine on amazon, but you should be able to order or purchase in a bookstore too.
  6. Preach it Tiffany!
  7. Hmmm, I'm not sure other solutions there could be for the weight loss. Being completely gluten-free--no mess-ups--is what comes to my mind first. I would say those of you who weighed more initially should be able to gain that weight back...however, if you were always on the skinny side, that may continue--you may never be "voluptuous" per se. I guess another...
  8. ck out these two links... an initial blood test would be an easy way to rule it out quickly: Go here to see more symptoms: Open Original Shared Link Go here to see how one gets tested: Open Original Shared Link
  9. way to go! passing the husband test can be quite a feat sometime
  10. The Calming lotion is my favorite--it has a fresh, light scent to it with a little lavender. I also like the super sensitive--pretty much no fragrance to that. Glad you got rid of all the bad stuff. I gave away bags of products to friends. I think I stocked my best friend's kitchen and medicine cabinet for months! It is expensive... Anywho, at least...
  11. Angela- Sorry I missed your question until now... I am able to buy their lotions in a local natural foods store... I know they have some of their products at Whole Foods too. I have also ordered them off their website. Their lotions are here: Open Original Shared Link If you call, they are very helpful. PS--Glad you like the shampoo...I love it too
  12. Tiffany-- do you have a bigger kitchen now? i can't wait till i have a kitchen large enough that i can touch all the countertops with my body at once...
  13. Jo Ann-- cool! that is from my support group's website
  14. wow, that kind of brings it all home for me. i had the shepherd's pie not that long ago. i take almost no risks...don't want to cut out amy's too...did they not say anything about--"this hasn't happened before?" probably didn't much reassurance other than the testing. so great they did that!
  15. thanks for the recipes ya'll! going to try some this week!
  16. hey i was going to comment on your triumphant pic! is that you receiving your degree?
  17. matilda-- i may have asked you all this before, so forgive if i have... have you gained any weight back at all? are you 100% gluten-free? what has your doc said about all this? oh, and no worries on talking about me. i don't care if anyone talks about me here--as long as it isn't..."have you heard that jenvan girl? she is a beotch!"
  18. way to go men! its refreshing to see some who are taking an active role in bc : ) i was telling my dh about this thread last night. he said after we have kids he will get a vasectomy. gotta give him props for that...
  19. i take either an amy's microwave meal when i'm in a rush. they are good--look for the ones that say gluten-free on the front, b/c not all are. usually though i take a spinach salad with veggies, some kind of meat, sometimes beans, almonds. then an apple or fruit leather or a kettle valley fruit bar (yummie).
  20. i haven't investigated it much...but i have yet to find a 'natural' alternative to bc for those women who take it for control of cysts per se, like myself. anyone ever heard of anything? i know it can improve over time, but when i've missed a pill i feel like i go right back to pain city... i am curious for when i do try to get pregnant...and hope it takes...
  21. hey--i've missed being talked about today matilda--so glad you're hair is doing well! i swear--that rosa mosqueta shampoo makes my hair look awesome! i am a big advertiser for it now as for the shampoo--here are the ingredients, i cked with the manufacturer before i used and it is gluten-free: INGREDIENTS: Deionized Water, Coconut Oil-Corn Oil...
  22. Stephen- hey there... i would say that your continuing symptoms--which sound severe--could be pointing at potential gluten still in your diet. did you know gluten can be not only in food, but in medications, over the counter drugs and in your personal care products--shampoo. lotions etc? you will need to ck all of those--until you do, you can't be assured...
  23. thnx carolyn... i don't always understand which hormones are in which at what strength etc. i have been on oral ortho tri-cycline for 10 years...and wanted to switch to nuvaring b/c it has about a 1/3 less hormones than my oral pill i believe. it would be great to not be on any...but i can't take a risk of another cyst or getting pregnant right now...
  24. Monica--There is a long list of Celiac symptoms and they can each vary from person to person. Go here to see some symptoms: Open Original Shared Link Go here to see how one gets tested: Open Original Shared Link You definitely have some symptoms that could be Celiac related.
