  1. most likely. i would ask what brand. i use eagle and it is okay...
  2. tracey- another resource is "wheat free, worry free" by danna korn. it is a very good book on celiac, the disease, lifestyle etc. and would educate you much... i don't know if you can get that in the UK... when do you get the endoscopy results back? I am not sure what other languages you speak...but trying to find you more 'local' resources. I...
  3. That's great to hear Angi...hope the buzz continues to spread. ....That's why we all need to keep "running our mouths."
  4. I would also recommend what Kaiti wrote. Also, start keeping copies of all your tests in a file at home, so you can refer to them when you need to track progress and take them to other doctors etc. if need be. I think a combination of continual follow-up blood work, monitoring of symptoms and periodic rechecking of the products you use and foods you eat...
  5. Haven't tried this...but found below-- Open Original Shared Link free.com/gingerbread_house.htm
  6. I love my tylenol
  7. Hey girl! (Still feeling good this week??) Okay, here's a guess. Look at the top right hand corner of the post box.... see where it says "Outline Standard Linear" ? Click on "Standard" and it should change it back. I am guessing you hit "Outline".... Did it work ?
  8. Wow...that is deep. If regular food can do that...what can GMO food do ?!
  9. Tracey-- so sorry to hear what your daughter is going through!! but if she does in fact have celiac...she can be on the road to recovery soon! do you know what blood work the doctors ran? Read below to quickly get educated on Celiac: Go here to see symptoms: Open Original Shared Link Go here to see how one gets tested: Open Original Shared Link...
  10. I also get mine at sephora in store or on Open Original Shared Link I think they have a larger selection than QVC...
  11. Lots of good input here. Your blood work definitely looks like Celiac... I don't blame some peeps for opting out of the biopsy/endoscopy, but I wanted to go ahead and do the procedure...I didn't have to wait very long for it either. I have had 4 endoscopies and they all went fine. If you read and ask around you will see that the majority of people here...
  12. I also switched to Bare Escentuals. I had a hard time "trusting" makeup companies. ...And honestly, once I started doing the research on the ingredients in my makeup/products, I wanted to switch to "all natural" ones, b/c the mainstream contain many harmful ingredients...even if it is hard to believe!
  13. which type of duncan hines frosting did you get ? the homestyle kind is gluten-free...but the new whipped one is NOT gluten-free. hope you feel better soon!
  14. Wow...so is that why you thought the chili was giving you issues perhaps?? Bacterial infections are not uncommon...for many causing ulcers and gastritis. I haven't had any myself... So are you on antibiotics? I would be taking some acidophilous to help replace the good bacteria... Or was this good ol' food poisoning that just had to run its course? ...
  15. Jeanne- that is frustrating that your husband isn't even willing to try gluten-free stuffing sometime. i guess you have a few options...try and really discuss what's at the heart of the "stuffing" issue and see if he can become willing. try and show how much his support is needed, and how serious this issue (even stuffing is). this would be my approach...
  16. Are you aware of DH? It is the itchy skin rash that frequently accompanies Celiacs. Read more here: Open Original Shared Link
  17. thanks lotus... oh, and on beans. if they bother you from the can, you could always try and cook them yourself. sometimes you can get rid of more of the 'gassy' starch if you soak and cook them on your own.
  18. Jnkmnky-- ha ha Well, all I will say is "yes, not a crumb." Frequent accidents or intentional sneaks of gluten food is about like not being gluten-free at all! All or nothing... Be encouraged though random guy (that sounded funny!), you will get the hang of it...
  19. cornbread... i'm no scientist... but i wouln't worry about your brain cells being killed. it is valid to be concerned about glutening for other reasons though. i also know what you are describing. i was amazed at the effects of being glutened post gluten-free, and the beginning months of being gluten-free. i became very forgetful and quite a few times...
  20. Bridge- (Thanks for the compliment girl!) I have simliar thoughts to what you're saying... I think there are some things we can take as gospel...but many things, like "frito-lay" for instance, are subjective, and each of us has to use our own discernment and choose what we feel is best...after doing the research and hearing from both sides. I need to...
  21. Congrats! That is wonderful. I hope to make it out to Denver again sometime...and if I do...I'll be coming to the Cafe!
  22. Those fries are classic!
