  4. we'll do like nogluten and make a brownie sundae with a namaste brownie and edy's icecream and hershey's. we'll take kinnikinnick english muffins and either toast or grill them and add scrambled eggs, cheese, for a breakfast sandwich. you could add bacon too or ham. i made my dh and i our own gluten-free blizzards over weekend. edy's vanilla with...

  8. I don't have DH, but I do have psoriasis. It is common to be in the scalp or start there. It is often found on the same spot--both sides of the body. It can start out as red and then grow into a larger spot with thick white flakes--some people describe them at oatmealish...

  10. janelson-- i know those products--they are manufacturered by frontier, the coop i've joined. if you got pure spices they should be okay. i have some. the company won't tell you if there products are gluten-free or not. however, if you have their catalog they list the ingredients in all their products--in case you got a spice mix or something like that...
  11. yeah, that is frustrating. i got the same response previously. now i've moved onto to mostly bare escentuals products. a sephora store is opening in my city though--this friday. woo hoo!!!!!
  12. I buy them from my coop, Frontier and at Wild Oats. I bet you could get them at an area natural food type store. Or you can buy them online at quite a few places too. ie. mothernature.com, greenmarket.com or vitaminshoppe.com--to name a few. I highly recommend

  15. Hey all...for those of you who use Giovanni organic hair care...I finally got a response back from them--below. It is so ironic there shampoo called "Golden Wheat" has no wheat in it and is gluten-free! Where the heck did they come up with that name?? Anyway, I switched over to their shampoos/conditioners and styling products...they are more natural than...
  16. i don't have pancreatitis, but a woman in my local support group does. it can be very difficult to get rid of. and yes, there can be a link between it and celiac.
  17. I was in maui about 2 years ago. Gorgeous--enjoy! I wasn't diagnosed at the times, so can't help you there. But, a few things I can remember...there is a cheeseburger in paradise and a bubba gump shrimp on maui...you could probably get hamburgers/fish etc there. I'm sure some of the nicer restaurants will work with you. I did find these hawaii groups...
  18. hang in there...like rachel said, stick with the diet and you'll see change. you may want to ck into an area support group. sometimes it can be an encouragement and great resource to have other celiacs in your area.
  19. berneses- are you eating any new foods now that you did not before going gluten-free? i think lisa also has the right idea about experimenting with a break from the horses. i hope that you can return to it. how fun that must be--i've never ridden before.
