  6. How are you feeling? Are you dropping weight rapidly or where you don't have it to spare? You say you are eating too few calories but feel full... are you bloated? Your diet sounds very much like ours, and we consider it very healthy. (We use the GAPS diet). A risk of a high protein diet is that you will go into ketosis, which is hard on your kidneys....

  12. Another thought... soup is really easy and cheap to make at home. Buy bones from the meat counter, they are cheap! Or, if you roast a chicken or other meat, use those bones. They continued to recur from time to time before our home was 100% gluten free and we started the GAPS diet, which is all whole foods, processed only at home.   16. I highly suggest you read the GAPS book. I don't think a food diary or a simple elimination is going to completely figure out such chronic issues.   17. ps, when people say "cured" of celiac disease I am wary. This does not mean getting to eat gluten later! While my celiac son is cured of all his symptoms on the GAPS diet, he is not able to eat gluten!!! Many food intolerances are gone now... IgG reactions tend to be a symptom of a leaky gut. When the gut is "sealed" those reactions no longer happen. However...
  18. We do GAPS which is based in the Specific Carbohydrate Diet. It has a slower intro and a few differences, including more of a focus on probiotic foods. It has made a serious difference in my neurological issues, as well as all sorts of other things for me and the family.

  22. Oats are contaminated with gluten due to growing, processing, and transportation. Additionally, some people are cross reactive to oats (even certified gluten-free ones) It could be he seemed ok with them at first or it took a while for his reaction to build.   23. Are there any farmers in your area? We get bones from them or from local butchers. Then you just add water and simmer the bones. Then you take the bones out and boil veggies in the stock to make soup.
