This is what my sibs and I always called them...smashed. Pork tenderloin with roasted shallots and a pinot noir sauce. Glazed baby carrots Homemade applesauce for the hubs. Supposed to be in the 50s and 60s this week in the Great Northeast..I'll believe it when I see it. Yesterday, it was so cold...(19) even the cat balking at going... -

Butterscotch pie.....oh wow!!....(drooling...) I LOVE butterscotch. We are having "encores".. of the bison stuffed peppers tonight. But getting no complaints, so that's good. Same here with the nettle tea and my gut. Had to stop it. I tried ginger tea--steeped it. Very good for gut, no help with bones/joints Love the tart cherry juice and seltzer with lime, but no help with the ouchies. I tried the omega oils for 2 months--for my muscles and connective tissues.....I did not notice anything. Not being a downer, just honest... -

I SO get this. I just got a note from my Godchild--who is having her first child soon--and I sent her what I have always sent all little ones in my life...A basket overflowing with books. Know what she told me? She still has the books I gave to her as a child....35 years later. Same with my niece and her wee ones. She saved them all too! Makes me so... -

omygosh....I just remembered this ...and I had not thought about it in years. It is not a sad story, honest. It's one of those pure magic ones. I had suffered my first miscarriage (on Christmas Eve of all days ) and was I very blue and trying hard to" rally" for the ex ...and I was so distraught and sad. I can relate to being thrilled by a mom's kudos on our cooking. Mine was here for Thanksgiving. Her amazing apple pie was legendary and always my Birthday cake ---and I actually cried at the prospect of never having that flaky deliciousness ever again when I was Dxed. I don't mind the "no grains" thing that much. Primal eating is very good. It's the inconvenience . Many of my best recipes include those grains: risottos, mexican, asian, rice pilafs, etc. It's just the idea of one more thing to have to "give up" I mean, why couldn't I have issues with eel, sweetbreads, brains,even snotty marshmallow fluff...
