  1. Sounds great! I have had to resort to making a square pizza on occasion. or other geometric/crazy shapes. For example, the Chebe dough does not "do round" very well. Sometimes, it comes out like an octagon .........or a home plate . ah well, whatever we have to do to have pizza. Dinner tonight: Honey mustard chicken thighs with bacon and carmelized...
  2. It could be a New Year's present ........and yes, if we all hit them with orders, they may wonder what the Sam Hill is going on.
  3. If'n I could find a way to ship this to you right now, hon, you know I would. But, you can make it yourself...it's easy peasy I posted the recipe on here. Just type in Tiramisu....
  4. OOH...here is another, from Melissa at Open Original Shared Link (she is an amazing writer and celiac advocate) Margaret’s Cheesecake What you need 2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened 2/3 cup, plus 3 tablespoons sugar 3 extra large eggs 1 & 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 1 carton (8 ounces) sour cream What you do Beat together u...
  5. This one is awesome. I have made it many times, to rave reviews. Open Original Shared Link You can skip the espresso powder and just use the vanilla This cake is ridiculously good and simple to make. I had two chef friends tell me they had never had such a decadent dessert. Happy Christmas to you!
  6. You may wish to read this article as well. Open Original Shared Link
  7. I think we all need one of these: http://www.cafepress...CFQSg4Aod_HwAmg I just emailed Santa with my request.
  8. I've got an eager hubby taste-tester, too.(and I need to watch my sugar intake as well) Good thing they are so willing. We had a little dinner party last night and I am beat so, it's a bunch of "encores" to pick from: --crostinis with goat cheese and roasted, marinated peppers --antipasta platter --shrimp cocktail --beef tenderloin --the...
  9. okay, well.....I was going to suggest perhaps you guys have a flu bug of some sort, but these guys beat me to it. Great minds thinking alike? Cannot imagine you were glutened when you've been so careful. (And not everything can be blamed on gluten as we all know.) In any case, hydrate and stay the course and hopefully, you two will feel better...
  10. I hear you. Sometimes, even after I wrack my brain trying to figure out what made me feel yucky (when I had been enjoying a decent stretch of "peace in the land"), I just give it up, too. This healing road is so up and down and sometimes, I think it's just a wonky day for the old GI tract. It is frustrating for sure, but not worth making ourselves nuts...
  11. ...eh, thought it was worth a shot.........
  12. I'll bet. You have excellent willpower. I always taste everything I make (I have to make sure it's "okay")
  13. Alex!! You made my mouth water....it's 11:30 at night here and I just said goodbye to my dinner guests and before turning in and shutting down my laptop, .............I read this and now, I want cookies!!!!.....LOL....they sound yummy!!!!
  14. What sentence?
  15. I agree. Lamb is delicious and one of my favorite meats. I have never found it to be all that greasy or fatty or dry ...just MHO. Many people complain it is "'too dry". That's because all too often, it is cooked to within an inch of its life. It should be cooked rare./medium rare. Lamb can be very succulent.... if prepared properly Lamb shanks...
  16. Oh hon, didn't we talk about maybe" taking it down a notch" while you had your company? You need to take a break Seriously. Massage tomorrow! That's an order. . x x
  17. kiddo, I don't think we're ever done with this stupid crap. I felt like total shyte this week. I know it wasn't gluten that got me (I think it was one of the "caines" at the dentist office) and I really don't appreciate the ramped up pain I am in and the "how fast can I get to a loo when out in public" thingy, because yeah, I thought I, too was done with...
  18. Never heard of lactic acid being an issue for people ( as it is not the same as lactose intolerance) but maybe someone else knows. Maybe you should shift focus for a bit......as in what kind of pasta are you eating? (and just curious, but I thought you were avoiding aged cheeses right now? )
  19. Sorry, sweets. I know you and your family have been going through so much, and it is unusual for a family to lose 2 members on the same day. My love and ((HUGS)) . If someone is elderly, it is somehow more "expected" .... but still shocking and sad....(I know, when I lost my beloved Dad, I was numb for months) and when it is children involved...
  20. Some glues have gluten in them? Decaf coffees have gluten in them because of the processing? Could you please cite sources for this information, so I can read the research---- as I am most interested in knowing which ones have gluten. Thank you!
  21. Sweetie. Like Shroomie, I am sending all good vibes, encouraging thoughts, prayers and positive energy to you. I am sure you are scared, hon and I do not blame you one bit, but try to think positive thoughts about your prognosis and recovery. I send ((big warm hugs)) to you. Keep us posted. My best to you, IH
  22. I have duly noted this and will keep it in mind.....
  23. I am as perky as ever, thanks! I rebounded and my legs are getting better. Mr. IH is cheery too. His momentary grumpiness has passed. No poopyheads tolerated (i was already previously married to one of those ). The wonderful family who owns the gluten-free cafe brought him a carrot cake and sang to him after lunch today How sweet, right?! Risotto...
