I want to repeat what I said--and what Ravenwood suggested as well--don't take any OTC or herbals etc. to get "rid of" things until you know what's going on.     Thanks for your thoughts. Yes, my Mom shares my "sensitivity" as well. You should have seen me on morphine post- hysterectomy--yikes!! Not good. I am like you--if it has a "rare" side effect--I'm sure to have it occur! I am sitting here with sunglasses on having had my pupils dilated YESTERDAY for an exam...my vision is still blurry and my irises...

    Hi and welcome ! Just to clarify--there's no such thing as a gluten "allergy." You can be allergic to wheat, of course, but celiac is not an allergy--it is an autoimmune disease.     Why can't the family doc just run the blood work for iron deficiency anemia and for celiac? Does she know about the pica? For pete's sake....What the heck is she waiting for??     That's what my doctor suggested --that the liver might be having trouble filtering drugs. I was pretty jaundiced for a while there. Not anymore. Thanks for your thoughts! Whatever the case, it sure makes me "racy" My dentist feels bad whenever he has to work on me
