    I call myself self diagnosed gluten intolerant because I haven't been tested for genetics or for antibodies... just had a biopsy that came back normal. However I cannot eat gluten. I found that out by changing my diet and I am not willing to eat gluten to have any other tests done now. It wouldn't change anything for me anyway. Perhaps there is a better...

    I am sure it is normal... I've shed tears too. Once just because someone made something gluten free for me and I didn't expect it. There is definitely a grieving process especially when you have a life change like this. I've heard others talk about this too. You need a HUG!!!

    I'm self diagnosed gluten intolerant with definite reactions to just a few crumbs of gluten products.. I eat gluten free oats as well. I get them in bulk.. but they are definitely gluten free. I make cookies and have it as cereal sometimes.

    It feels like eventually everyone will know someone who is gluten challenged or.. like myself.. will manifest the problem themselves as they age. Then they will need the education and it will matter. Best to ignore STUPID PEOPLE!!! Did I say that outloud?? I was talking to a prairie farmer about GMOs and wheat and he stated that Canadian farmers...

    I HAD to move over... too many comedians in this outfit to be able to stay sober.. I mean serious I don't have a marsupial, too bad (a roo is too big for my house) ...     I am wanting to know that too... hard to get many flours here too, especially bean flours. I'm a newbie cooker. Is there a thread that talks about flours and their textures after baking?

    If you explore the forum you will see that at the bottom of the posts some members have posted their history with symptoms and medical steps taken. It makes for very 'cathartic' reading.. your symptoms are bound to be on others bios. They sound so familiar. If you don't get enough info - repost. See Ya

    I just want to underline this point. The longer I am gluten free the more I can't tolerate gluten 'cheating'. Also - I was the 'IBS' diagnosis and negative biopsy. When I went gluten free... UREKA! I felt SO much better. You may want your wife to live as a gluten eater but if that is the issue... it will be doing something behind the scenes.

    Others who have been the testing route will fill in here but from what I understand, yes, you need to be eating gluten for the antibodies to show up.     Ah em makin a Caesar Salad for supper! Made mah own croutons..et je vais avoir un verre de vin. I had to use google language tools for that because 'croutons' is French. Wine goes with Caesar Salad.
