  1. We went to the neighbouring small town to do some business and although we planned on eating at home we had to eat out. Before going gluten free eating in small town restaurants was usually your basic grilled cheese, fries, burger etc. with poor service. Tonight I had to explain to an untrained waitress about gluten (she had no idea what I was talking...
  2. I would also wait until you have your blood levels in the normal range. Pregnancy is really demanding on your body. And after 3 pregnancies and 3 miscarriages I'd want to know that I had done everything I could for my babies. If you have some vitamin deficiencies it can cause birth defects. Your body will handle the challenges of pregnancy...
  3. New to all this and have gone gluten-free for 5 days after a positive blood test and strong genetic link. I had mild symptoms before but now and everyday I have had a worse and worse headache! To the point where functioning in life is not an option. Over the counter pain meds don't work. Tell me that it gets better soon. The gluten-free change is not...
  4. Do you know if they are going to market this in Canada as well?
  5. Thanks for the opinions, I think I'm going to skip the scope as the wait time for that referral would likely be about 6 months and I would do the same with my diet either way. I won't need to worry so much about health insurance as I am Canadian. But I hadn't thought about the life insurance.
  6. I am a Domestic Goddess, wife and mother to 3 girls. Before I was at home full time I was an elementary school teacher. I'm sure one day I'll return to teaching but until then I am loving being home with my girlies and helping my husband with all sorts of things for his business as a logging contractor.
  7. What about an icecream "cake" or make your own sundaes. What about Gummy Candies for Potty treats?
  8. I am hoping that I skip those extra side effects this month and the next few. I have been using the Diva Cup for a year and all I can say is it is life changing. It makes it so that I barely even know I have my period. 2 times a day I "deal" with the mess. And one of those times I am in the shower so it is easy. As it is made of silicone there aren...
  9. Hello, It had been 4 days for me also. I have no idea how long I might have had celiacs my symptoms are quite mild and I am interested to see how I feel in a few weeks of gluten-free. I have 3 girls and they were conceived easily and quickly. I had boring pregnancies with all 3. But I did have 3 miscarriages between my second and third daughters...
  10. Thanks for asking. I was wondering the exact same thing.
  11. Thanks everyone, I didn't think there was any point and I have already started on my new lifestyle. Wrapping your head around all this takes a little while. But I am hoping that although I didn't have much for symptoms that I will notice a big improvement anyway.
  12. Hi, I just got my tTG results yesterday with 0-20 being normal and I am 193. Also a family history of Celiacs (my brother and niece) I was wondering is there any point in getting scoped? I have very few symptoms if any. But with numbers that high my body is obviously reacting. Thanks
