  2. I kinda agree. I don't really like Udi's. It tastes ok, but dry. I do buy it just so I have it as a choice, but I am very interested in learning to make my own!!!
  3. thank you I will get this checked ASAP!
  4. Thank you for the encouragement & humor- hahaha kicking the wall, yes seems painful . I do appreciate the feedback. I have been so positive about all this, but I know I will have days like this. Oh yes, so my psoriasis is managed fairly well by my internal supplement called "Dermal Health" by herb pharm. It is a liquid and organic, plus gluten free...
  5. I believe this is exactly what I needed to hear! Thank you!!! I like the idea of freezing cupcakes in advance. Also keeping gluten free snack bag in your car!!! I'm feeling more positive already
  6. thank you so Much for the advice! I really needed some encouragement. SERIOUSLY, thank you. I will check out what you have suggested.
  7. I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease about 3 weeks ago. I immediately changed my diet and put a lot of energy into researching the disease so I would feel better about it. I also found this network and I believe it has really helped me feel connected! My husband even has really encouraged and supported me with this! I was amazed at how well I was taking it...

    ARCHIVED Sad

Hey lady! Hang in there. I think we were both diagnosed around the same time. No joking, it can be rough. Here is what I learned that has helped with the sadness. I got tested for B12, iron deficiency, and Vit D. The results: I have stage 2 iron deficiency (close to iron anemia) and a Vit D deficiency. thank goodness my B12 is ok. But these are common things...
  9. When I went gluten free (3 weeks ago) I noticed the hunger right away. YES NORMAL. What I did was make sure I was packing myself plenty, I mean plenty of food for work. LOTS of snacks, I ate so much, but I didn't care because I hate being hungry and nauseous....3 weeks later I don't need as much. So I just recommend being accepting of yourself, and knowing...
  10. Open Original Shared Link Try this site! I would try a smoothie with lactose free yogurt. You could even add protein powder for a complete meal!
  11. "C"!!!!!!!!!! This is why I did not think I could have Celiac. But now I know that I do....so I think either
  12. I love popcorn too! It's the best. I think the best thing is to pop it yourself. All microwave popcorns may have additives that are addicting. I pop the kernels in a small brown paper bag and add salt and butter. Also bring along fruit and other snacks, even if they don't sound good, trust me if you are hungry you will eat them
  13. I get really bad painful stomach pains. I almost have to crawl into a ball and it gets so bad that I cry. It is gas. This has been so terrible and has even led to several emergency visits where they could not find anything wrong (before I was diagnosed of course). I also had constipation, not diarrhea- which made me think I could not possibly have Celiac...
  14. thank you! This info is really helpful and I appreciate the info to. I will ask for a B12
  15. Wow! This information is amazing and has truly sparked an investigation! I will be talking to my doctor about all these issues and requesting labs. I will keep everyone updated. Thanks, thanks, thanks =)
  16. Welcome. I live in an itsy bitsy town called Sebastopol California. I am recently diagnosed and learning too. I suppose with any new condition there is a learning curve. Don't beat yourself up too much. There are a lot of useful websites and my husband has helped me with this too. If you are interested in some good ones hit me up and I can e-mail you some...
  17. Do I ask my doctor for B12 test or a pernicious anemia test? I am very new to this and have not had 1 test beyond Celiac yet. I am making a list for my doctor. Thanks for the info!
  18. That's awesome congrats!
  19. Hello! I love to cook and now that I have been diagnosed with Celiac I need a new cookbook. I am shopping in the next day or so, but am curious what your recommendations are? I enjoy cooking pastas and stews. However, a variety of options is preferable. Thanks!
  20. I believe there very well could be a link. I had recently started therapy for depression. I was so scared because it is so unlike me to be so sad. There was also little to no trigger. It appears this very well could be linked to Celiac. I am so excited to see how the new diet will affect my mood. I have read several stories from people who have an improved...
  21. Hello. I was only recently diagnosed with Celiac. As I have been reading many articles here and online I am curious about the relationship between Celiac and grey hair. I have not been tested for vitamin deficiency levels yet, as I was literally just diagnosed. I am meeting with my doctor again in 2 weeks so we can see how I am doing with my new gluten-free...
  22. My bridesmaid is Kristen Stewart's cousin. It's a small world
  23. I would start by vegetables, fruits, and meats. Stay away from wheat, flour, and oats. Eat simply. Don't worry to much about cross-contamination. However, I would also recommend you keep a food log to start. That way when you check in with your doctor you can all be on the same page. Hang in there!
  24. Green beans, red potatoes, mushrooms mix stir fried, with tri-tip steak
  25. Hello. I was only diagnosed with Celiac 4 days ago. Since then I have done a lot of research to better educate myself on the symptoms and treatment. I was married in July 2010. My husband is very supportive. However, as we have read many wonderful articles that have shed light on this, we are both most frightened by reading that Celiac disease can cause...
