  1. Wow. So many people are naive to think that EVERY single person follow through with work policy. There are lazy workers out there who will toss the meat right back in the tray after messing up. Sorry, I don't care what anyone says. I know people do it. EDIT: The only way to be safe is basically avoid all fast-food chains, unless you see that workers follow...
  2. Hate to say it, but it's sure gonna take more than a few weeks for this pain to subside. It took me nearly a year before things were back on track. I've been having the same things happen as they are to you. A lot of people who have Celiac and have problems with lactose, whey, casein, ect. I know it would be hard cutting out gluten and milk products...
  3. After half-way through the end of my fall semester at highschool, I didn't care if the whole place was made of out of pizza or hamburgers!!! Highschool is probably well know for absolutely junk-food at lunch (at least mine is) and I became very use to it. So, yep, I understand the same feeling I guess you adjust without knowing it for a little while. ...
  4. My uncle died of Lymphoma in '98 three days after Christmas. 'Round the began of '98, late '97 or so, he began to have problems with his stomach and didn't eat very much. Looking back now, it seemed so much like he had to have Celiac. I highly think he did have celiac disease. Dunno if it was refractory but I wish celiac disease was more know of back then...
  5. I failed to see the problem with Gas X as well.
  6. No problem. Let us know how the testing went. -Ash
  7. That's wonderful news! I would be excited too if I was Amanda Disney characters are always cool. The folks at Disneyworld and Make-a-Wish Foundation are good people. When I went to Disneyworld, I saw a little girl with cancer who got to meet Peter Pan. I had never saw such a sweet smile on anyone's face. They do a good job, so, I know she'll have fun! ...
  8. Welcome here! Don't worry, most here are kind. From what I know, I believe you can if it goes unDxed for a long time. Without the right minerals/nutrients (which you're deprived of if your villi is serevely damaged from the anti-bodies attacking the gluten sticking to them because it can't be taken in if your villi is barely there.), you can lose excessive...

    ARCHIVED Bk Fries

The CSA statement on McD's site is a bit confusing. But, if you click on bag on a McMeal, click on their fries, calculated, then click on more details, it provides this ingredients list: Large French Fries Potatoes, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, natural flavor (beef, wheat and dairy sources), dextrose, sodium acid pyrophosphate (to preserve natural...
  10. I tried talking to Mom about going to a chiropractor. That went nowhere . I'm going to pull her up to the computer and let her see this post. Thanks for the good recommendations everyone! They've already have told me that I have high levels of stress, anxiety, mild depression, ect, ect, ect. Maybe this will convince Mom? That epsom salt sounds nice...
  11. Welcome Natibug!!! This is a good learning experience. Always, always, ALWAYS read the label. People are lazy and if they get an unwanted item, 99.99% time they're going to chunk it off somewhere in the wrong place. Or, for the uneducated worker, they might think something's gluten-free and it's not, so, into the gluten-free aisle it goes. As for...
  12. Mmkay, this is a little weird. The "skinny kid with pot-belly" was pre-gluten-free thing, right? I'm starting to get that way now!!! I feel like I'm going to burst! I never dealt with this before. Only related to it was I lost a lot of weigh and had the sereve pain, yeah, you guys know. I'm guessing I'm getting glutened and I'm always bloated. Gas...
  13. Oops. Forgot to mention that I went the other day, so tired. They disagree that it was an asthma attack, since my lungs and x-rays were fine. They believed I had an anxiety attack. Had an EKG done and don't know the results of that yet. If I keep dealing with the pain for a few more days, I'm going back to the doctor. I'll talk to my mom about the gall...
  14. Need some advice. Late Tuesday Night/Wednesday morning, I had started to have stabbing back pains, painful enough to make me cry out and wake my mom. Couldn't breathe so had to go to the ER. My face, above my eyes/eyelids, lips, and right hand began to turn blue. I lost feeling in that right hand and felt all tingly all over, a lot 'round my mouth too. All...
  15. Grapes are a normal part of my diet. I at least eat them around three times a week. Never had a problem with them. They took one of those prickley things on my arm for food sensitivies while they did needles for other allergies when I got tested for getting shots. My nutrientist told me that those tests aren't very acturate. Peas did show up, but, those...
  16. Well, I did have a reply but then realized something. I can't remember whether the pretzels I bought a couple weeks back were either Glutino or Glutano. If those were Glutino pretzels, I had no problem with them. Man...anyway, I did buy a box of Glutino's white cake mix. I haven't baked the cake yet, but, it claims on the box "Gluten/Wheat Free, Fat-Free...
  17. Dear Ashley, Thanks for visiting our website. In reference to your inquiry concerning the gluten content in our products, I have listed below the products which have been tested and do not contain detectable levels of gluten. The following McNeil products have been tested and do not contain detectable levels of gluten: Children...
  18. Yep, I do the same. It works well. I've dealt with C WAY more than D. So, I know how you feel.
  19. We're getting one though in a few years in Nashville near the Wild Oats on Franklin Road. Sorry I can't help. Last time I was there, I wasn't dxed with Celiac and really can't remember much about the food there anyway. I can tell you there are Wild Oats in Tennessee though.
  20. I second that. One time, they promised it was a dedicated frier and my cousin found an onionring in his fries. -Ash
  21. Carla- Thanks, absolutely will let ya know. Maybe that's my case. No matter what I do, I cannot get rid of this bloating... Lister- That's what that nutritrionist lady told me! Love my memory. Really? I usually drink more liquid than what I eat will give that a try. Lorka- Not that I know of. -Ash
  22. I guess that would be helpful. My nutritrionist told me to add some yogurt in my diet (I can't even remember why now), and mostly avoid dairy for the most part. I don't get much, but this doughnut set my stomach on fire, I'm still hurting. Guess I'd be willing to try it for a week. Thanks Carla
  23. I just downed a small bowl full of grapes and a half of a kinnikinnick cinnamon sugar doughnut, which are gluten-free 'course. My stomach is hurting so bad, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't the grapes. Anyone else not respond well to kinnikinnick? This bag confuses me, but, I think these are casein-free too ( I have had problems with diary, especially when I...
  24. I've had similar things happen. The whole world has been offered when it comes to off-limit gluten-y goodness. Especially in my first block, they live off complete junk like doughnuts. I'm not really offended at all if someone offers me something. Usually I just tell them no thank you and don't even explain I have Celiac Disease. It kinda gets old explaining...

    ARCHIVED Vision

Went to the eye doctor, nothing wrong I have 20/20 eye sight, but my eyes do the weirdest things. I don't know if I'm blacking out, but, a lot of the times my sight will nearly completely black, I can only see about around the middle of my sight, I have no idea what this is but when I'm not dealing with that, my eye sight is vivid as ever! -Ash
