  1. Nope. I felt just fine after it. I know I didn't react because the tiny blood vains didn't burst like they do if I get into gluten badly (Just like I did last night, my ENTIRE face is covered in red dots.) I understand that it does damage, enough though I felt no pain. Like an oyster cracker? I forgot the offical name of the cracker we use. -Ash
  2. I'm not Catholic, but, I am a Christian. Our church only does Communion once a year. I take the regular waffer and wine. I ask the Lord to protect me and leave it be at that. -Ash
  3. Bummer I know, it reminds of you of all that beautiful gluten food, but, thought that matters -Ash
  4. Sorry Celia I almost fell to eat something gluten-filled too, but, I just didn't have the spine to do it. Just wanted to triple-recommend the water. Raw honey is awesome too. Both are Nature's miracle. Most important of all : Remain calm. -Ash
  5. The smell of any Chinese/Japanese/Laos ect. food (save for Chicken and Beef w/ rice) makes me absolute sick. -Ash
  6. THANK YOU VINCENT!!! I'll send you my e-mail through a PM. -Ash
  7. I remember seeing on the Calendar's on here that were was meetings in Nashville, TN at the Wild Oats on Franklin road? Now I know longer see them on the calendar. And last time I was at Wild Oats I forgot to ask about it. Does anyone know what's the deal? -Ash

I am afraid I cannot help you, seeing as I do not have DH. But, I can welcome you here Hopefully someone can come along that knows. If you need any, PM me if you want. -Ash
  9. That's a complete shock to me!! Thanks for posting this, this probably has saved me pain the future!!! -Ash
  10. I suffered the exact same thing. During my era of Celiac harm (which was around...five months?) I became inactive from pain. Once I actually had energy to do my normal things (rollerblade, swim, run, Colorguard) I became very, very, very sore and tired for a bit. I'm dealing better with it and I think you'll do the same. -Ash
  11. I understand how having Celiac Disease seems unreal. Don't feel that way. You are certainly not an idiot. During the first three months, I would not go to any store. When a commerical came on showing my favorite, gluten-containing foods; the television was turned off. I have days too were it all crashes down and feel bad. In time, it will pass. Wishing...
  12. The regular ones are not gluten-free. You know, the ones in the red bag and cheesy-like. The cool ranch, salsa, pepper jack and guacamole are gluten-free as far as I know and remember. -Ash PS: Oh, and the Spicy kind are gluten-free.
  13. Is it gluten-free? I'm sure it is, but, I don't have a bottle handy at the moment. I'm red as a tomato. Got cooked because I wasn't suppose to be in the sun because meds (was in the pool for three hours). So yeah. I'd hate to go to the store and find I wasted my time. Thanks -Ash
  14. Welcome here! Glad you really like this place , it's almost like an encylcopedia of knowledge about Celiac, gluten, and its effects on the mind, body, and soul. It's a helpful place. Need any help, fear not to ask! Most are friendly, epesically if they can steer a person from making a terrible decision and consuming gluten. Feel free to PM...
  15. Yup yup, mine gotten better too. My hair started to get really crinkly and some strands of it would turn a white-ish gold color. A lot of it fell out too. Now it's softer, but still not growing like it should. Glad to hear things are improving. -Ash
  16. I've experienced this too...but, I'm in the growing stage my cup size has gone up though more than it should, at least I think. Not too thrilled with it (would be happy flat-chested). Either way, it's here. -Ash
  17. I stay sick all the time , feels like. I just had two sinus surgeries and that's really helped with sinus infections and whatnot, but, I'm always sick-to-my stomach, tired, no energy. It's just something I've learned to live with. -Ash
  18. This board draws 15 year-olds. I'm 15 too, at least for only two more months. You'll love it here, it's a really helpful place. Dxed for over a year and it gets easier along the way. If you need anything, you know what to do. This a good place to learn, and possible rant if you're down and out. -Ash
  19. Stupid question; Is it dairy-free?
  20. Gone for two days and there's already tension. Please, just don't get my topic banned. -Ash EDIT: Not a slam on Latino people and their language, but, most in the 'States know English. It bothers me that if you don't know Spanish, your salary isn't as much to one that does. It's not about neglecting these people and the customs they have brought...
  21. Yep. Summer reading too. If honors, you have to read two books from the lists. They were all either HUGE or Shakespeare's works. So I wind up reading the long books. There is social studies and history in here. They only require three credits of social studies. I took Honors World Geography my freshman year, take a break from it my sophmore year (unless...
  22. Block Scheduling. Yet another wonderful thing our stupid school system has brought us. First block 7:45-9:15, Second 9:20-10:58, Third 11:04-12:57 (longer because of lunch, there's five different lunch periods, depending what hall on you're on), fourth 1:15-2:45. I know, but, it's like anything else when you get your heart set on it and you don't get...
  23. Whelp, I go back August 1st for a half day. Personally, I think it's stupid. All you do is get your schedule (which I just got today!!! I guess people lose 'em. I lost mine last year, but, I got that one even before school was let out!) and do nothing in your classes. It's good for the freshmen, but, if you're a sophmore or higher grade you shouldn't have...
  24. My uncle just discovered that he's dairy intolerant and has having a hard time letting go of certain things. He was tempted to try a regular Oreo and got sick from it. He doesn't have Celiac or problems with gluten, but, I'd like to try some I can could too All the ones I can find though only are gluten-free, or only dairy-free. Anyone know of a brand...
  25. Any Kelloggs brand cereal is NOT gluten-free, all use malt favorings. However, there's lots of main-stream cereals out there that is gluten-free. Neopets berry cunch, cocoa pebbles, fruit pebbles, cocoa puffs, the new Dora the Explore cereals.
