    Jut out of curiosity I would call the Dr & ask why this med was chosen. The Dr could've made a mistake. Tell him/her you are not giving that poison to your DD. If the dr. cannot come up with anything better, then kick him/her to the curb. And you should get a 2nd opinion & maybe a new dr too.

Rather than subjecting yourself to reglutening I suggest having all immediate family members tested. Grandparents, Parents, aunts, uncles, siblings Its just a blood test. Some people have the gene but never develop celiac--you could get gene tested yourself...

    Can you use a friends or relatives address where the test is available? The website of My Celiac ID says results are emailed to you so theres no way of them knowing what state you are really in. Just a thought...

    Hi: My DD had a blood test in Jan & has antibodies 4 celiac and just turned 13 in Mar. I had her retested & her #s were even higher. Dr (pediatric GI) told me not to put her on a gluten-free diet until he does biopsy which was scheduled in Jun.
