    I'm just curious if anyone has problems w/ being able to work full time or not work at all anymore b/c Celiac? And if so, if anyone has been on disability and how that works, if it works, etc?

    Everything I picked up had that warning lable on it about the production line or whatever they call it where the product was made on the same line as others....as you can see I did not have a very lucky day w/ gluten-free lables...HAHA!! i'll keep looking and post when I see things labeled as gluten-free @ The Mart! Thanks everyone else that is posting...

    HAHA!!! You should post a pic of it on the boards sometime...I bet people think we're crazy talking about "the Big Chicken"..... BTW, will get you the chef info...waiting on mom to e-mail it to me...I asked him the day I met him for a card but he ran out...be in touch soon!

    Hey Nini: I was in ATL over Christmas & my mom had this chef make this to die for gluten-free chocolate masterpiece....he's out there near you in the land of big chickens....if you want his info let me know and i'll get it for you....

    Does anyone know if the Wal Mart version of Viactiv, Spring Valley Calcium Chews are gluten-free or not? I've been searching on my lists but not getting very far so thought i'd ask you guys! Thanks and Happy New Year!!!

    Yes, I agree....I am a child mental health social worker and see children w/ Autism and Aspergers from time to time and it's a very interesting dx....thanks for your feedback!

    Thanks so much....I'm a celiac (dx April 05) and have been on the gluten-free diet since May 1st. We want kids but not until I feel better. We also wanted to get as much info as we could about celiac, pregnancy, etc. to be as knowledgable as we can. I've read many other posts from others who are celiac and have had great pregnancies...so encouraging.....

    I've seen articles and posts about the relation between celiac and autism and i'm interested in knowing more about this. My biggest interest is does being a celiac increase your chances of having an autistic child??? Anyone have any thoughts or info? Thanks so much.... Turtle

    Thanks Richard. I though it was an odd comment myself, which is why I posted about it to see if anyone else had any input. Not sure what doctor or what resource(s) told her soy was not gluten-free i'll have to get more info when I talk to her myself at Christmas. WEIRD!!

    This is interesting....my mother's neighbor is Celiac and on the gluten-free diet & has been for a long time. She recently told my mom something about not being able to have anything w/ Soy b/c there is traces of gluten in it. Has anyone heard this before and know any further info on it? I was just getting excited about Soy Eggnog too but now i'm hesitant...

    I agree....I too have never had a problem w/ Quaker grits...in fact I live off the instant ones b/c they are easy to pack when traveling, going to work, etc.

    Thanks Jen H! I thought about the "meal" and I too think it had to be cross contamination...if it's not the seasoning then it would have to be cross contamination...can't think of anything else it could be. FRUSTRATING none the less and not to mention miserably sick.
