  1. Right now, all i want is a Pop Tart. I maybe ate them once or twice a year before now, but that is all I want. And i dont just want one flavor, its like I want to have one of every flavor they have ever made them in. So strange
  2. I have used it several times over the last 4 months and it has worked for me. My boss has been sick a lot this year and i am not taking any chances. If you do get it, get the Lemon-Lime one, it tastes better than the Orange.
  3. You guys read my mind. This months issue of Gourmet has them on the cover and now i have been scouring the web in search of a recipe with no luck. What would be a good substitute for the all purpose flour?
  4. I have been having the same problem. I do not have a rash or anything that looks like DH but i cannot stop itching. It is dry and windy here in So Cal so i thought maybe that was it. I havent changed soap or detergent or anything but i am so itchy. If anyone knows a way to make it stop, please let me know.
  5. I agree, everything sounds great. You really put a lot of thought into everything. Good luck!!!
  6. Anyone else heard the new Jack in the Box commercials about their Ciabatta bread? I guess their new slogan is Bread is Back. It is basically 90 seconds about how bread is incredible, tastes great, is healthy and how a sandwich without bread sucks. It was fairly annoying. Just wondering if anyone else had a similar reaction.
  7. the crust is a flourless chocolate cake, more like a flourless brownie really. Very dense crust.
  8. I actually ate the cheesecake and it was unbelievable. They do not make the cheesecakes at the location, at least that was what i was told, they actually are sent in everyday in freezer trucks. I asked for them to make sure they used a fresh knife to cut it with and i had no problems.
  9. Last night i bought the new Gluten Free Bakehouse pizza crust that is already cooked, but can someone give me any tips on how to use it? Do i top it and then bake it for a little bit? I feel stupid, but i cant quite figure it out. Thanks a bunch.
  10. There is also a Cheesecake Factory in the forum shops of Caesar's Palace that will be willing to work with you. I was there about 3 weeks ago.
  11. I just read that Whole Foods in Northridge is having a celiac awareness day this wednesday where there will be product samples, displays and some portion of the day's product sales will go towards the celiac foundation. It is on their website with times if you are interested.
  12. I could be wrong, but i think i read somewhere that their gum is not gluten-free too.
  13. Thank you for the help!!!
  14. Hey Everyone, I am looking for some chicken and rice soup that is already premade and every one that i have looked at had some form of wheat. Why wheat is needed in a broth based soup of chicken and rice is beyond me. Anyway, if anyone knows of a good one please let me know.
  15. Just wanted to say thanks again to my fellow So Cal people for making Saturday a very nice, informal get together. It was both great to commiserate with people who understand and also educational.
  16. It sounds like you are already doing the things that i normally do. Usually i take some Tylenol or Motrin and it helps me with some of the pain. Other than that, just get some extra rest and wait it out. I wish i had a quick cure to give you.
  17. Hey Looking forward to this weekend. Quick question not sure if it got answered before, should we be bringing anything? Let me know!!
  18. I am also in my 20's. I am 24 and from CA. Every social situation I am in revolves around food it seems. From potlucks at friends houses to restaurants. A lot of movies too, but that doesnt have to be around food. I have learned to use the word "plain" a lot. I am lucky i guess that i have a friend who is low carb, so she usually trys to go to places...
  19. That sounds good to me. I will put that on my calendar.
  20. Thanks for all the help. Sounds like i should be able to get something to eat.
  21. My friend is having a birthday party here and I have never been here before. I know that obviously everything with beer is off limits but anyone eaten here before? Thanks for the help.
  22. My place is too tiny. I live in the Valley so it would be easy for me to pretty much get anywhere. I also prefer the beginning of September if possible.
  23. I have been on iron for awhile and it is slowly creeping back up. It takes a bit of time though. I have been on iron for almost 6 months now. I started with a prescription one and am now on an OTC slow release one that doesnt hurt my stomach. My doctor told me to of course eat more meat and spinach and to not mix those foods with calcium because it slows...
  24. If at all possible, remove all the gluten containing food from your house or at least the stuff that you enjoy the most and dont walk down those aisles in the store. Print out food lists and restaurant guides, and find substitutes for those foods that you have a hard time giving up. When in doubt, post on the boards and everyone will help. Good luck!...
  25. I react to that seasoning mix and have concluded that it was the MSG too. It is hard to avoid this especially if you want to eat packaged food but it sure makes a difference. I first found out about it when i was 10 years old and ate a Hot Pocket every day after school for a week and went to bed everyday at around 6pm with a migraine. Does anyone...
