  1. I'll have to try the lime pistachio that sounds wicked yummy!!
  2. I made some very yummy date balls this evening and it's a healthy snack, can't go wrong! Oh and easy, was it ever! 2 simple ingredients, dates and almonds. You just process dares and almonds together, and roll into 1" balls, I then processed a few more almonds to roll the balls in but you could do coconut as well. All ingredients are raw, organic, just my...
  3. In fact, they all list that. I just shot the company an email asking, I'll let you know what I find out.
  4. I use Shopwell, you set your acct to what you want to avoid, and then you scan the bar code of the package. It shows a picture of the package (assuming it has it listed) gives nutritional info and an ingredients list. You can also just search the name of a product and it will give you options. Like I've said before, it's not for everyone but it works well...
  5. What I'm saying is that it's helpful to me. If there is any possibility of it making me sick, I'm not eating. The app doesn't just scan for gluten or wheat, you could set it to scan for artificial sweetner if that was your ingredient to avoid. It's just calling attention to ingredients, if I read a label and am not sure that's when I scan. If it shows some...
  6. And ya know, it makes me rather skiddish that people have posted lately that they've called companies and the reps say not to eat due to possible gluten ingredients, yet people on here say the reps are incorrect. Is a person supposed to ignore the company reccomendation? The rep is getting their info from the company they work for, and there's no set rule...
  7. There are plenty of things that are listed on the labels that I don't find to be clear, or perhaps clear as mud. It's only common sense that if it says wheat on the package then don't eat it, I find the app helpful. It's not for everyone, it's a personal choice, just as I'm sure there are many things listed on a label that you're willing to eat and I won...
  8. I've only has prednisone a couple times, but I loved it! It made me feel a thousand times better and I had more energy than super woman lol the things I accomplished on it was awesome! But the highest point was how awesome I felt, just amazing...but I didn't get any sleep...that's a downfall.
  9. Do you people not have iPhones? Lol there are apps that will scan the package and break down exactly what is in each of the ingredients. It's a great thing, any questions and it will pick it right up. If there any possibility of gluten it automatically high lights it.
  10. Well he certainly is stubborn, huh? Lol gluten free is NOT a radical lifestyle, in fact it doesn't even have to be a touch transition of you're willing to make it, that's where the difficulty lies. This reminds me of when I first went gluten-free, my family besides my mom were totally against it. I didn't live with them so it didn't matter to me, except for...
  11. It's in the seasonings, when scanned the product comes right up as including gluten and wheat.
  12. Ick, I've been gluten free long enough to know not to go there but not long enough to forget how sick I could be. Ugh, even my Mom's homemade right out of the oven bread doesn't tempt me, now that's some good stuff!
  13. Well....since I've been in and out of work all day, my dinner was shot. So it was a banana, cup of tea, and followed by raw date balls later on....sooooo yummy! I'm not a raw foodie all the time but I sure was today haha
  14. No way! I'm an X-ray/ct tech too!!! Awesome!
  15. I totally agree, it will take time and you'll figure it out. I tend to eat mostly whole organic foods. Fruits, veggies, raw nuts, and non processed meats. I try to avoid too many processed things lol but it's hard to be so good all the time! It really helps my system though to eat cleanly, then I'm pretty much avoiding gluten. Be sure to read labels well...
  16. Farmer John bacon has gluten in it, besides that I haven't seen any. I much prefer the straight from the farm kind myself!
  17. I just made a pretty awesome snack of I may say so myself haha date balls! Totally raw food, dates, raisins of you wish (I didn't), almonds and coconut.(no coconut for me!) so you first process some almonds to coat the outside, set aside. Then process your dates with some almonds until mealy. Mild into balls and roll in almonds and/or coconut. Very good for...
  18. I did see a yummy recipe for date balls, this am...they looked soo good!! And a peanut butter cookie cheesecake....holy crap.... :-D
  19. How about you cook for me! Lol yet another yummy meal!
  20. He didn't know hehe it's kind of cute though that he was going out of his way to do it by hand as to not contaminate the dishwasher! I give him snaps for that, you'll have to get your own scrubbies and hide them from him!
  21. There are many things that could cause those feeling, like simply being in a new place. I never sleep well, do I get fatigued and nauseous, it actually mimics glutening, but I know that it's because I'm out of my element. That could be your issue. Either way, paddle on! Don't let a minor setback ruin your flow because you're bound to run into those from time...
  22. Good call on the rice cakes, I forgot about those! I love the chocolate ones with a little peanut butter between two....soooo yummy!....I think I better go find some breakfast, this is making me hungry!!
  23. I guess there's only one way for you to know, how bad do you want the flippin' cheez whiz??? Patrick which thread was it that we discussed the modified food starch? That's a good one with a link to the info. Very interesting info. I'm not knew to this gig, per se, but there's always more to learn. I have made the choice that if I don't know what it is, can...
