  2. Just a thought, have you been checked for Crohn's Disease? It's another small bowel disease and your low B-12 is what caught my eye. That is a classic sign of Crohn's due to the inflammation and damage to the Ileum, which is where B-12 is absorbed, causing malabsorption.(Sorry for the medical talk lol ) idk if that will help, good luck!
  3. I'll third that for Babs!! Lol great points. I'll add that when I got diagnosed I went straight to whole foods, mostly because I knew that the chance of finding gluten there was next to none. Fruits. Veggies, nuts, seeds, lean meats no processing. I used to eat dairy but I found that bothers me so I keep it to a bare minimum of Greek yogurt once a day. Get...

  5. Oh I love snacks! Haha this is my department! First off, I have to agree with kareng, go for the fruit snacks. They're quick, easy and portable. I noticed that the "fruit by the foot" are labeled gluten-free, who knew!? Love them! My usual snack though is a piece of fruit, veggies and hummus, perhaps a few almonds( be cautious on calories/portion size)..I...

  7. Well, considering I barely eat processed foods, I'm pretty sure lol I got on raw, organic kick once and loved it! I'm not completely raw but pretty close. I've tried pretty hard to stick to it, but I fall off the wagon as much as everyone else.
  8. Yummy beats healthy anyday! Haha I'm thinking I may make spinach stuffed chicken Alfredo at some point this weekend, if I can find all of the ingredients!
  9. This sounds sooo yummy!! Much better than the veggies and hummus I had... ?

  15. Ummmm.....okay. It's great that Dr. Oz brings awareness to certain issues, but it is a tv show. It's by no means meant to take the place of a person's primary care physician. It's for entertainment and some basic info, perhaps he enlightens you, so you go to a doc and talk it out. Perfect, that's great, but don't rely on Dr.Oz unless you're sitting face to...
  16. This is unfortunate, I wonder what else has changed?

  20. Ya know, I have never heard that! Very interesting, where do you find these laws? I'd like to read up on it. I'm a US citizen but have a large amount of family in Canada an I have a more difficult time to read the labels there, an not because they are half French lol. Idk if it's that I'm not used to them or is there a huge difference? Hoping you have some...
  21. Brag it up Momma!!! You deserve it, that is great news! ?
  22. I recently took a bus trip to NYC and on a stop midway, we had McD's. Now I would normally skip it or do my own thing, but another girl had said she eats there without trouble. (at her local one) soo, I got the burger, labeled gluten-free on the website, SICKER THAN A DOG DOESN'T EVEN BEGIN TO COVER IT.....and I had to ride an hour to the hotel, and 4 hrs...
  23. Haha this cracks me up, for the reason that my Dad called me today to tell me he saw an episode of Dr. Oz about Celiac disease and he learned a lot....luckily I've trained my parents well, and dad realized that some of the things were different than what I had said!! I guess I better go watch it to see just what is up!! ?
