  1. I don't know what part of the country your in but if you have a trader joes, they have a 5 page list of all their gluten free stuff if you ask! It makes things alot easier at first...but I would still read the labels!Not all things labeled gluten free are! Remember not to give up on your diet...it takes time to detox...so this might take a while to truly...

Well thats what I was thinking...(boiling first)...those things are just so hard and I get a lot of pain in my hands...I allways boil them a little before stirfring them and you absoulutly HAVE to boil if you make hash browns,(theres an Idea..sweey potatoe hash browns....or for Thanksgiving what about making Yam frys with alittle cinimon sugar for a change...

My son made me a folder saved to my desk top (that way its easy to locate)...I went to google and clicked on IMAGES...then I typed in COUGARS ( its my nickname and user name)...I found a picture I liked..RIGHT CLICKED...and hit COPY....then...

  13. Merrilic...this has nothing to do with bread...but I just have to say something about your avitar!!! Just love it! In our house we refer to this behavior as "Jelly Spine"! this usreally happens when my hubby tries to make the cat sit up and do silly things or talk to him ...or when you try to remove said cat from place where cat should not be! It sure sounds like gout to me! did you do an extensive research on this? there are alot of things that can cuse gout...wine and beer are on the no no list as well as other foods you wouldn't expect. google list of bad food for gout/ list of good food for gout. Try cherry extract pills,cherry juice, see if this helps when you get this type of pain. google...
  15. I know eggplant is a night shade...but can anyone explain about nightshades to me? effects,any info would be apresiated! I know alot of celiacs tend to be sentitive to these (and soy, nuts,corn,frucose ect.) so I'm sure a thread on the subject for all us newbies would be much apresiated!   16. Wow...it's been 3 months since I've been diagnosed and this is the first time someone explained WHY celiacs can't have lactose..my Dr. just said DON'T DO IT...she never said why!!!   19. When I was first diagnosed...I didn't REALLY understand what this ment! I've had this since I was in grade school and we never knew all my verious problems in my life were conected...untill recently...I'm 47 now.So I figured It was more like an allergy...and could be treated that way... If I gradualy cut back instead of cold turkey, it would be ok! HA!!!...

Ralphs has KROGER brand, but I don't nkow about any gluten free flour? we have whole foods...its more eclectic and has a more Natural option of items...I'll look there...but otherwise the alternitive recipt looks great...I've allready printed it out!
