    I have a similar thread going . . . the Neutrogena folks sent a list of all their gluten-free products. When questioned further, because it says "Wheat free", they responded that the items listed only are guaranteed wheat free -- but not barley, rye or oats.     Usually it is what you ingest -- as far as causing a systemic reaction, it needs to be ingested. Gluten molecules are too large to get into your system transdermally.     Their "Skin Revver Upper" lotion DOES contain gluten -- they sent a sample with an order I placed -- wheat protein (I believe) was listed in the ingredients -- which is why I threw it out. I wear only Bare Escentuals, but use Cetaphil lotion. Just be careful!
