  1. Van's Waffles are great, I take a toasted one to work and put apple butter on it when I'm ready to eat. I also used them a few weeks ago as bread crumbs for stuffed pork chops. (when I was new and didn't have bread crumbs). A great bread crumb is Aleia's, you can always save the ends of bread (I like Udi's) and make your own. I've tried Brown Rice Tortillas...

  5. I have to agree w/ Darn, it may be too soon and also you may be CC from something else. I'm a beer drinker as well, I found the Red Bridge the best (have tried Bard's - too many flavors w/ each sip and bitter, Grist too light and a lime after taste). Those 3 are the only ones available in Long Island. My son was home last week and he brought the Cider, great...
  6. I'm new 3 & 1/2 weeks. I've been feeling great until we had to attend a Friday night Black Tie affair. Well I got CC (I was so damn careful) and was still suffering on a Monday when my bosses were like "no way". I had to explain again No, I don't choose to be gluten-free it a way of life for me. We have cancelled nights out w/ friends since diagnosis...

  8. Our sons cat(or should I say our cat, son moved out 11 months ago and yup cats still here) uses Arm and Hammer it is gluten-free. I take care of 7 feral cats @ work, we made an old pan 4' x 2' into a litter pan and use speedy dry in it. Just scoop and bag it, you can check out the contents of it I believe it's clay. Hope this helps. I just feed them...

  14. Thank you Celtic I googled and found it,now in my favorites. I too am a newbie (blood and scope confirmed). I did order 2 Gluten Free Bread Machine Books. I'm throwing out the old machine concerned w/ cross contamination. Trial and error I'm not happy w/ the bread I'm buying. I did find Udi's brand @ Trader Joe's and not bad. I have thrown out 3 loaves...
  15. Stay Strong, I have just been diagnosed last week. You've come to the right place there are so many well educated people here. People who live this day after day and have personnel experience. 18. Since I am allergic to several BP medications I only use 2 non-generic meds. I went to an allergist 18 months ago and was told they didn't do inert testing. Now I only use brand name meds. When I checked on Bystolic w/ Forest Pharmaceutical they told me it contains the poly 80 (which is wheat, corn, etc.) They cannot guarantee which ingredient it is....
  19. I tested positive for Celiac 5 weeks ago and started researching my medications just in case the Endoscopy confirmed it. It was confirmed last Tuesday and Wednesday I went to my GP Dr. My major concern was one of my BP meds, it contains a Pregelatinized Starch. I checked w/ the Pharmaceutical Co. and they said since last tested in March 2011 it contains...
