  2. Rusla, Well siad. I hope my PM to him when he first arrived helped... Im glad he stayed.
  3. Tif, I might not understand the desire to drink, but one thing I do understand is male interaction. Its completely different then female interaction, and i doubt I could explain... but they would likly value him over the beverage AND give him heck over it.
  4. Volenteer to be the permenat desingnated driver and stick with coke/pepsi/etc
  5. Just picked some up! Not bad, but I will have to try deep frying it. I have only seen it at Publix Heres more info: Open Original Shared Link
  6. Yes. Get teh blood test, and make them do the full Celiac Panel. It only take like 5 mins of your time. Do not do the diet before the test as it will impact the results. Anemia was my first sympton, and for a while my only one.
  7. Wiat for these symptons to pass, then drink some Lactaid. (Thats gluten-free and lactose free milk). If you react, then you cant have dairy. Its important you test it sperate of ANYTHING else. Do not use goat cheese, yogurt, etc all that have other things in them that might cuase problems. BTW From what I read most ppl that cant have cows milk can have...
  8. Well then I forbid you to ever eat rice again!!!! My SIL is so cavaliar about it, I kind got the wrong impression it seems!
  9. Buy glutne free beer. Like this one: Open Original Shared Link (linked from an ad here, I never heard of it ) I do notlike beer, so can not comment beyond that.
  10. Thanks all. Kroger actaully had the throat coat, they must have recently added it cause I do not recall seeing any teas at all in that section so she is trying that and the salt water.
  11. My wife is a second soprano but has not been able to get above a G because of this.
  12. I guess, I have to ask... my $59.99 normal breadmaker works very well, handles every gluten-free mix/recipe we have tried fine with out any trouble at all... why do people spend $100's of dollars looking for "specail gluten-free" bread makers with names that no one can pronouce?
  13. Not heard that connected to rice. My SIL is alreigc to rice, but her symtons are mild enough that she refuses to aviod it like she should. Corn too actually

  15. HELP! Me wife is sposed to sing THIS WEEKEND in a massive production at the church and has lost her voice. I think I rember that honey in herbal tea helps, but do not remember which herb? We have Apple Cinnamon tea from Cestrail Seasonings which we added honey too, but if I run to the store what tea should I look for? We are a completely gluten-free house...
  16. I been wanting to try this since it came out, but theres no publics on my route to/from work. Sounds yummy!
  17. Yea, but will you DIE from one TRACE exsposure form your alergy or gluten? Sorry but peanuts is a whole nother ball game. Frankly if I owned an airline, I would ban all nuts of any kind. The risk is just to high.
  18. No it is not. It states Oat Flour, and we know 2 things about oats 1) All oats, ESPLY FROM QUACKER (who is about the worst there is) , are contimanited with gluten. This is known gluten source ingredietn, might as well say wheat flour. 2) Even pure oats effect alot of ppl with celiac just like gluten does because the protients are so simular.
  19. Still looking for Agave near me, prbly have to wait till next trec out to Wild Oats. I use honey, splenda, some times fruit juice or raw unprocesed sugar. Realy I perfer to leave sweetners out of most things. "No Sugar Added" I feel is the best plan. Just my take on it. Unless its SPOSED to be sweet, like hot cocoa
  20. You say no symptons... I just wanna state that hte first thing that tip'd my wife and I off to the possiblity of Celiac was ACID REFLUX from birth with our son. In fact for a long time we treated it with varisous erflex meds like Prolisec, Regulan, Zantec and so on. I would test them. The breif moment of discomfort that the blood test is could stop a...
  21. OKay lets ingore contimation for now, Pretend for this question we have labatroy pure oats. The alergy doc I jsut recently saw is doing an IgE blood test for things like Casien, beef, etc. One of the things in that test is Oats. Assuming it comes back negative, does that mean I would not react to the protient in oats and pure oats would be safe?
  22. I am guessing #2 is a huge factor. When I did my fisrt gluten challenge (my defintion of that is going 100% gluten-free for an extended bit, then eating gluten and seeing what happens), I swore I did not feel any better gluten-free. I was like Whats the dif? Then I ate some gluten as planed, and OH MAN it was bad. I suddnely realize that I got better slowly...
  23. Sorry to hear it betty, but you have come to the best place I have seen anywhere for support. Almost everyone on this site understands how you feel and iwll try to help you out. As for "devopling new intorences" I wonder, are we devolping htem, or did the "more powerful" reaction to gluten just hid them all along. Dont most of us suspect gluten first...
  24. If you go make sure you try all time best coaster... Rolling Thunder! I ahve been to parks in many states and not see its match for simple rollercoasterness. Esply after a very light rain!
