  1. Most newspapers in my expernce have at least a weekly section on it. I never read them. I used wiat tables and for a while was a short order cook. Nothing will help you loose faith in a system more then seening it in action.
  2. Where is here? If you do, I might move
  3. My birthday is APril 10th, so thats the week I suggest!
  4. Over a year ago whole foods annoicned they were comming to Nashville, but theres no sign of them yet. Thier site still says comming soon. I guess I could ask at my Kroger, but realy not had good luck with them ordering anything. They can only order it if its in thier computer, and I doubt this will be. The nearest publics ia quite a hike so would...
  5. I think its a great idea! But it be 2008 before I could consider it.
  6. Acording to Kinikinicks website, they are the only ppl in Nashville that carrie thier products. Not seen thier stuff elsewhere, so I am forced to guess that is right.
  7. Just did!
  8. Lynne, Yea, these: Open Original Shared Link Tymber likes them, but they are a bit spicier then I expected. Not hot, just a touch spicy. They make the normal Tyson chicken nuggguts seem bland! LOL As for your Nashville trips... sounds good!
  9. Yes and the only list wild oats. I think they said there was 6 in a case. But they siad there would be no discout for the case, it would be the shilfprice times number of pieces. 11. Well which part? McDondals now admits the freis have always had gluten in them, per thier offical statement to the Wall Street Journel. They just feel the level of gluten is low enough to be insignifigant. Wehter or not they are "safe" I guess depends on your opinion of safe. Many ppl here have had advrese reactions to thier fries, and for them its easy...
  12. Never heard of that place?
  13. celiac3270... based on the best of information that McDondals has made advailbie, the fires have always had a low level of gluten in them. Up till now McDondals decided to not disclose that, and now they have decided to disclose it. In short nothing has changed expect their level of disclosure. Wether or not you continue to eat them has to be your choice...
  14. One thing try to aviod them while they busy, the busier it is the more likly mistakes will be made. I have not been to one in a very long time so can not comment beyond that.
  15. Yep! They are rumored to be extremly good, but cant find them here LOL. I sure hope their gluten-free stuff sells well, its a very extensive selection now! I saw a shelf lable for "gluten-free Family Pack Prestels" but they were out of them. Would have gotten some if they were there though. Wife is looking for gluten-free prestles hehe. ...
  16. Its a mix. Some of the stuff, like the Panda Puffs are cheaper then Kroger, other stuff is more pricey. Its the only place around here htat carries some of the more special stuff. Like my wife loves the amartha cereal and thats the only place to get it. Some times my son loves the gluten-free Chicken Nuggest they carry, and thats the only place to get them...
  17. IBS is one of the more popular things that celiac disease is mistaken for. YES, you should all get tested. My reading says that all direct blood relatives of your daughter have a 30% chance of devolping celiac disease. celiac disease is gentic, so someone in your family passed it down to her, and probably others. Now just becuase you have the gene does...
  18. Just got back from Wild Oats. Its around a 30-40 mins drive one way so do not get out that way much, and wow they ahve realy increased thier gluten-free offerings, ALOT. And wow I am in big trouble, they are now carring the Kininick doughnuts! Prbly gonna have to buy bigger pants! LOL Not tried them yet but I picked up the choloate ones and bunch of...
  19. Yea Setf is roght, if you found PURE nuts that had nothing added they would be gluten-free. The bluk bins you describe are to be avioded in most cases, CC risks there are very high. I get all my dried friut in the pre-packaged bags from companies that are safe, like Sunmaid (everything they produce is gluten-free fomr gluten-free factory). Its...
  20. you can use this to directly link the post... Open Original Shared Link As for the copyright question, drop him a PM and see what he says.
  21. Thank you David for doing this foot work. Now, that sounds more like an honest anwer then what I have heard out of them through this. I read it as "Yes there is defintly some gluten in the fries, but it is a very small amount" Thats much more reasonable the thier magical deep fryer answer. Since thier fries DO bother my son, I still...
  22. helps if the spelling is CLOSE hehe
  23. Xylitol, also called wood sugar or birch sugar, is a five-carbon sugar alcohol that is used as a sugar substitute. It can be extracted from birch, raspberries, plums, and corn, which is primarily imported from China and is the most popular source due to its potential renewability, unlike birch trees. 24. If Stevia ever comes down in price, I would perfer that over Splenda (well assuming it tastes good, not tried it yet) but at OVER three times the cost of Splenda, and phemonily more expensive then raw sugar I am not willing to consider it yet. Xiotol (how ever its spelled) is not carried in any of my local stores, so dunno how tis priced.
  25. Splenda is safe, some ppl how ever fear all things man-made when it comes to food and will come up with all kinds of things to scare you. These are normaly the same ppl that will tell you the highly proccess white junk is natural, some even will say good for you. heh. Stevia, and Xiotol are alternatives that are usaly cosindered better, same with honey...
