My peditrction said to use Whole Milk for a little while after weening for the FAT content, to help the baby's body make the insulation it needs to cover the STILL devopling nevrous system for a while. I forget what age teh nerves finally have all...
  4. I would love to try Mana From Ana, but her prices with shipping seem so high, and I cant find her localy. With how picky a toddler is I dont like risking ordering in bulk on a new product...
  5. There are tons of recipes out ther to "dupilcate" the OJ drink, and all that I have seen are gluten-free. So its easy enough to do. I would post them here, but way to many came up in the google search and I with out personal experence I hate to recomed one.

  8. I agre with Jen, get check for other vit/etc diffecnies. They tend to go hand and hand with celiac disease esply Iron. Also tryin increasing the PROTIEN in your diet and decreasing carbs, esply sugar. Protein will give more gradual and lasting engery, and does not have the crash associated with high carbs foods, esply sugar. Also try cutting back on cafine...
  9. Over they years, I found the secret to message board surival is learning when to not reply, not read, and esply when to walk away from a thread. There are threads here I have plain skipped (Consiparcy theroy one, US Ecomony one, for 2 easy examples) and threads that I got in a debate in and stop reading cause I felt it was turning in to an arugement and...

  17. Our sons teacher asked us if it would be okay if our son used shaving cream for some goofy toddler art project. Poking around these boards I found a post by KatiUSA saying " All of Colgate shaving creams are gluten free" and it sounded like the ones by SCJohnson were not... are there any others that are known to be gluten-free, or ones to be wary of? I want...
  18. Based soloy on the sample of my child, and the 2 other parents in this thread, I completely agree theres alot more to this then just the GI issues. I mean the difference from any random day gluten-free, and what happens within hours of him getting some gluten is huge! He reverts to bad behaviors we already broke, he forgets his signs, he stops sleeping over...
  19. He currently sees 2 speech therpists a week. He ahs since he was about 18 months. His RECPETIVE language has grown very well, and he can speak a litte in sign langauge now (His mom, and I both know some ASL, in classes for it). So that helps at least get over the "hes crying and cant tell us why" part for now. We tell when he is comming off the Gluten...
  20. Thats sounding more and more like what we are seeing. Our son at 18months tested at about the 9month old level for commincations, and we think his celiac disease "activated" around 10 or 11 months old. In all other areas he is at or above age level. I wonder where he will be when he get s a decent gluten-free run!
