Yes thats normal. No gluten means super hungry. I eat a lot of fruit. Bananas or apples. For carbs if lactose isn't a problem eat some cheese. Avocados are high in fat too! It doesn't sound like your having gluten withdrawals yet, but it does sound like your body is detoxing. Good luck!

ARCHIVED Disappointing Doctors VisitBooghead replied to Booghead's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease Never have had an ANA done. I hear sjogrens can't really be treated so I don't see the point in getting tested for it. But if hashimotos can cause all the eye problems too then it probably is that and not sjogrens. Had breaded chicken and pizza today. Feeling same as before (not feeling 100% but not feeling overaly sick). My arms have both rashed out...

I have one, but I don't think it works at all. I take it for vitamins that are commonly deficent in Celiacs.

ARCHIVED Too Much B12?Booghead replied to bbdailey's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications Might be, depending on how you feel. It can cause tachycardia, angnia-chestpain, or panic/anxiety attacks. In studies done with animals, given high b-12 supplements. The animals with high b-12 compared to the animals with no supplements, high b-12 caused more cancer. I do not think your levels are high enough to be of worry. Unless you get dizzy or...

It can't happen. Don't worry about it. I was just kidding. I suppose I should have considered not everyone knows about tech stuff. My dad is a computer "genius" so I know more then most I suppose.

WOAH WOAH WOAH! Guys I was just kidding. It was a joke. Sorry to get you all riled up! Unless you have very high tech stuffies then you cant find other peoples IP addresses. And on this protected forum you might not be able to do it at all. It was a very illogical story, meant to exageratte how we feel when people don't keep us updated.

ARCHIVED Hair Loss Since I've Gone Gluten FreeBooghead replied to looking for info's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease My hair falls out from my thyroid problems. Hope it stops after I start the meds.

ARCHIVED Best Friend Making Fun Of Me?Booghead replied to MenHen's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease I have an aunt that is the biggest gossiper. And it isn't even gossip anymore. It's lies. Big huge lies. Everyone knows to take everything she says with a grain of salt. The sad thing is there 8 year old son thinks thats normal, to exagerate everything and lie. Its so strange how some people feel the need to lie. In your case I would go out to eat with...

ARCHIVED Disappointing Doctors VisitBooghead replied to Booghead's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease He already did the biopsy. In the colonoscopy and EGD. Both were negative for anything. Including Celiac Disease. Thanks for being patient with me. And thanks Irish for explaing HYPO and HYPER to me. Thought they were the same. Been having a lot more itching and dry skin lately. Spotches of red skin, like little circles. I couldn't get to sleep last...

ARCHIVED Disappointing Doctors VisitBooghead replied to Booghead's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease He did the correct tests. I was shown the results. It looked like this(of course more techincal): Thyroid: 5.79 range 1-4.5 Celiacs: IgA: >2 range 1-3 IgG: >2 range 1-3 (I can't remember all the ranges and outcomes. But the thyroid one is correct^). The doctor "read" the wrong one. The thyroid was highlighted in red and the celiacs panel...

ARCHIVED Disappointing Doctors VisitBooghead replied to Booghead's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease I think I i will still gluten free for the most part. Though the doctor made it sound like its REALLY RARE for a person to have Celiacs and not have either test positive. He says he has no idea why I feel better off of gluten. They took more blood for the thyroid and they are sending the results to my primary pyshcian. I hate some gluten today, don...

Well after being told my blood panel for Celiacs was positive the doctor ordered an EGD. To confirm the positive blood. Today was my followup and as it turns out: there was no positive blood to begin with. ALL of my celiacs tests were completely negative. I'm so frustrated. I cried after the appointment, this is basically like being lied too. I went...

ARCHIVED How To Get Back On The Horse?Booghead replied to zoogirl's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease I really like "Fruit Buddies" They are puree'd fruit in little bag, like a capri sun. But with a different lid. They are a little smaller then caprisun. They have different flavors. I like apple banana. But I also think apple cinnamon sounds pretty good. No fat, no carbs, only 50 calories (for me these stats aren't helpful). I need some fat in my snacks usually...

ARCHIVED The Song Name GameBooghead replied to navigator's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff No Christmas songs... The Beginning- Seal, 1991 No, I don't listen to seal. I wanted to find a another song that didn't have the word Christmas in it.

Love this forum. I also hate it when someone posts a frantic post about how they are feeling so very terrible and going to the hospital the next day. Then the next day we check for a update. Then the next week. And we never here from them. So then we read their profiles and their IP address. We find where they live. THEN we check the obituaries...

ARCHIVED Just Diagnosed And Feel Like Its The End Of The World!Booghead replied to ScarlettsMommy's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease The person that said you don't have Crohns is wrong I believe. In this case at least. I just read an article, 18.6 % of Crohns patients have Celiacs. And the vast majority of non-celiacs crohns patients find a big relief gluten free. Not the end of the world. One day at a time. One day at a time. One day at a time. Thats how I'm feeling right now.

Thanks for all the input everyone. I think I will start dairy light. Stil use small amounts of butter and milk in baking products this week. Next time we go grocery shopping we'll buy some dairy free milk. Is silk a brand anyone uses? I see it all the time.

ARCHIVED Help! Has Anyone Had These Symptoms?Booghead replied to AndreaMarie's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms Yea it could all be connected. Good Luck at the Dr.

Well according to my biopsys: Everything looks normal. So does that means there is no damage? Or no visible damage? What if the blood results were just a false positive? Is that possible?
-
Celiacs isn't simple or small. It's not just celaics. Don't do that negative thinking to yourself, what do want? Stomach Cancer? I only know the top part of the report you posted. Whatever else is on there I have no clue.
-
This is too depressing. I might just go back on gluten and pretend like my "symptoms" are the norm like I always have. >.<

The sections through the duodenal biopsy show fragments of ducdenal mucosa with marked villous atrophy. I believe this means you have blunting of the villi. Congrats sounds like you have Celiacs! Go off gluten. I think the second biopsy is to prove that your celiacs has started to heal. I read bout how they used to diagnose celiacs: positive biopsy on gluten...

ARCHIVED Off Gluten 2 Weeks!Booghead replied to kathrynk's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms I was going to say cute little boy, but my sisters little girl is always called a little boy so I thought I would tread on the side of caution. I wouldn't cut the hair either. Too cute! My little niece has curly hair but it is so thin and it doesn't grow much (shes 3 and it isn't even an inch long). I'd say a good time to cut it is when he starts running...

ARCHIVED Afraid To EatBooghead replied to Dyverg's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms Mushroom is very smart. Knows way more then most of us. Do have the skin biopsied, much quicker then an egd. Looks pretty cool too! Hope you start feeling better.

I don't think it was from there. I eat fries from there and don't get sick. Don't lay into him too hard.
