  1. Must be a bug going around. I haven't felt so hot either. Been taking Nyquil every night and some cough drops too. Just figured my gut isn't healed all the way yet.
  2. I'm not feeling all the way better with my stomach and still having some C. I felt much better after going gluten free and I was regular until I got glutened over 2 weeks ago. I have been having some cramping and bloating along with gas. Its common for many people to go dairy free as well as gluten free at first. I have cut out all gluten, so I am getting...
  3. For Cheese use Munster. Its so smooth and tasty. If you have never used it before the color can be off putting. Its orange mold on the outside. You cut that off, and the inside is a creamy white. My favorite cheese, and it also just became available at my local grocery store. Try it out. Great with wine (lol jk, I don't drink wine but if I did it would be...
  4. I don't think him not calling means its negative. It means the people at the office are lazy lol, don't know about sjrogens and gluten free but I do think most find it to improve off gluten. Thyroids are nasty things. Luck with that one too! P.S. adorable kid in your profile pic. gotta love that curly hair
  5. I believe that there is no gluten in grain fed animals, think about it a little bit: grain goes into the mouth then to the stomach and a tiny bit to the blood stream, then it is pooped out. I would say if there was any gluten in the meat it would be way under 20 ppms(i think thats what they measure it in) if its less then 20 then its normally safe to eat...
  6. No advice here, but good luck!
  7. What a strange Reaction. Do you have Celiacs?
  8. My eyes kill me. Always red ALWAYS. Gluten free for 3 weeks not really improving, I use some allergy drops and the last 5 or so days I can't use them because as soon as I put them in the right eye it burns so terribly that I stopped using them. And when I put them in the left eye it just drains into my nose... sigh, my mother had plugs put in shaped like...
  9. I hate the things some waiters say. The thing I hate most is when they give me the clueless look, it makes me not want to eat out. Big places have gluten free menus more, but they don't always avoid CC. Chilis has been very good to me, but not applebees (and I ordered nothing fried). It just depends, but I am an introvert and don't really like asking, and...
  10. Well I'm not anywhere near the legal drinking age. And no one here in Utah drinks very much. No one I know anyway, I live in a very mellow place where people really don't drink alcohol, I would say most wouldn't even know what patron is In another post I said no one here really drinks much coffee either. We all indulge in Mountain Dew or a Slurpee from...
  11. We usually eat ham and eggs for breakfast. And then Ham and Potatoes for lunch. I didn't get green bean casserole at thanksgiving this year so I will make it for Christmas. And candy for desert of course.
  12. Girl, pale is so in right now! Look at Angelina Jolie or Emma whatsherface from Easy A. Pale is the new tan I mean look at Lady Gaga. Personally I'm 17 and Every time I go outside in summer I burn and then peel, after I am done peeling I'm paler then before. At least we won't get skin cancer.
  13. It could still be Celiacs with the blood test negative. As for eating out: get Baked Potatoes from Wendys or salads from subway or blimpie, Chilis hasn't made me sick and some Mexican restraunts are very helpful as well. Infertility is a very big symptom of Celiacs, I'm 17 so I haven't had this problem yet Glad you could have one child at least. Eczema...
  14. At my school my friends with celiacs eat the salad bar and on tuesday and thursday they get baked potato. I live right by the school so I come on home for lunch. Much tastier and it gives me some time to cool down from all the social and mental interactement. But then again no one has ever called me a social butterfly
  15. I take a gluten blocker that my mom got for me when I don't know if something has any CC on it. It seems to work but I've never tried it with a piece of cake or a big ole cookie.
  16. No Starbucks where I live. Probably because the majority of people in this state believe caffiene is a drug and its not good for the soul. IMHO coffee smells terrible. yucky gross. We had one starbucks about 25 miles away, went there once got a decaf and it spilled all over the car (my mom was so angry and stressed as hers spilled too) so we never went back...
  17. Who wants alcohol anyway?
  18. Well I didn't know those things. I do fell much better off of gluten but what your saying is that could still be from Crohns? I had a negative EGD Biopsy for Celiacs. I also had a Colonoscopy that looked normal. I wonder if I might have Crohns still? Or perhaps both?
  19. I didn't sleep well after going gluten free either. I've been gluten free for 3 weeks almost. For the last 2 of those I have had a bugger of a cold so I've been taking Nyquil pretty much every night. I'm begininng to think I might be abusing it for sleeping because I couldn't sleep after going gluten free. The last 3 days that I have taken Nyquil it has been...
  20. Well I'm 5'0 and thats normal for my family I did lots of research and I was sure I had Crohns, I went to the doctor and they tested me for Celiacs which came back positive. So self-diagnosing doesn't always work. I didn't have much diarrhea either except once when I got really sick. Mostly it has been Constipation for me. Much better off of gluten, also...
  21. Just go gluten free. He has it I would say. Even if the blood came back neg he still probably has it. And if it does take a month you can see how much better he is feeling off gluten or if he isn't any better. I suppose it could be something else but that would be rare. Luck to you both
  22. My best friend Gabe is going through Chemo. I'm in high school and so is he. I'm going to tell him about no shaving the legs! He wears hats every day, I want him to feel comfortable enough to not wear one but he seems very persistent. His hair wasn't even an inch long before he started Chemo so he didn't lose that much. He has lymphoma which they think they...
  23. That was so funny. I love that comedian. Thanks for the laugh.
  24. Well good for venting. At first I thought you said "I hope all these people WITH food allergies or intolerances understand how lucky they are". Then I typed up a huge reply scolding you for not thinking allergies are serious (as I am a sufferer of severe seasonal allergies). Thank heaven I read your post again before I yelled at you. LOL
  25. Well before I was diagnosed I hoped it was Crohns. Everyone wants to get better and a diagnosis is a step in the right direction. Good Luck
