  1. Great, thanks everyone. I guess you could use yogurt as the liquid to make it more moist?
  2. My daughter and her boyfriend will be moving in with me shortly to help out. The boyfriends birthday is coming up and I would like to make a cake for him. They agreed to be gluten free so I want to show that it can be yummy. I want to use a mix because I haven't been well. Any recommendations as to brand?
  3. Two scrambled eggs and leftover steamed potatoes fried with garlic and rosemary and a bowl of greek yogurt with strawberries and blackberies.

  8. Wow, I was just thinking about this the last few days wondering if it could be done. When I am feeling better I want to try it. Looks like you would have to start pretty early in the day.

    ARCHIVED Potassium

Thanks, I'll get it tested. I've had three bananas since last night and still no headache.
  11. You're welcome. I love sorbet and make my own all the time in the summer. My favorite is Lime. A friend in Calgary called me last night. He said there is a farmers market there that has homemade Chicken pot pies, gluten-free. He said they are so delicious and the best he has ever had. They are now starting to sell them in some grocery stores.

    ARCHIVED Autism Rising

I do wonder because the numbers are so high. Seems pretty high to me for just being better diagnosing. Could be though I guess. Whatever the reason for the numbers it is still frightening to me. Whether diagnosis or not, the numbers are high.
  13. It could be many years before anything comes of this but it gives hope to a lot of people. Gotta start somewhere.

    ARCHIVED Potassium

Not sure where to put this question. Lately I have had a constant headache. I have been on a pretty simple diet to help figure out many issues going on for me right now. Since Sunday I have been craving bananas and last night finally had one. Boom, headache went away after about 30 minutes. I did some Googling and wonder if it could be low potassium? I...

That makes sense. Maybe it will help make the govt. take it more seriously re: funding.
  17. I realize this is not directly Celiac related and if mods feel it should be removed I understand. This is frightening. Open Original Shared Link

  19. Thinking I may have a corn intolerance I bought Tinkyada pasta. My son and I both got bad diarrhea. We also hated the texture. I'll stick with the corn pasta, I love the texture and taste. I have bought various brands and like them all.
  20. There are many stores around my area that carry Genius bread. Loblaws, Farmboy and some Metro stores. I found the flax one first and it was good. Next I tried the corn and liked it better but I think I am corn intolerant. Then I discovered the english muffins. A little dry but love having a 'bun'. The other day I found the multi grain and it was heaven...
  21. My computer died but now I am back with a new one. Hooray! I have missed the forum and all the knowledgeable people here. Things have been up and down but mostly down lately. I have been having bad reactions and I am suspecting a corn intolerance. I have been diagnosed with Emphysema as well. I am wondering about that though. I never had a problem...
  22. I just opened the cupboard and threw together a bunch of stuff and made a sir fry, chicken, cashews and chinese cabbage with rice noodles. It came out good.
  23. This sounds very good, need to go shopping...
  24. Thank you, I am hopeful. Maybe I can finally get back to work and I won't be so poor all the time.
  25. Finally saw the doctor today. We are going to try the Zantac for a month to see how it works for me. She explained how it works and said that it would also help my ingested wheat reactions. She told me that they use it in the emergency room here when someone comes in with a reaction along with the epinephrine. And hopefully it will help with the chemical...
