  1. Put it in your freezer when you get home. Then just take it out a couple hours before you cook it. It seems to have worked for me.. but maybe I was just lucky Lisa

  5. Hello everyone! My family has been great about Celiac.. but, we haven't changed tupperware or wooden spoons or anything. Should we have? I always read about everyone changes ALL of the kitchenware. When I suggest to my mom, she just says "Well, I got you your own pizza pan!" I know she is really trying to help.. but will it effect me? Thanks ahead of time...

  11. I get down a lot, too. I don't know what brings it on. I guess I just start thinking about how I need to change my shampoo and lotion and then I just get upset that I have Celiac to begin with. But, I mean, its not like I want to go and eat gluten, because being sick is not worth it. I know that I am not very helpful, but I am a newbie at this too. Hang...
  12. Copy the address of the website, then click on the http:// button on the top of where you are putting the message.. then paste the address into the bar that pops up. You can name it whatever you want after you press ok. Lisa
  13. You know, thats a good idea.. he is like the smartest person on the board - and if it helps, I would buy the book .. ooooh and you could donate some of the money that you get out of the book towards celiac research or something! Sorry.. I get carried away sometimes.
  14. It isn't safe to use hair and skin products that are not gluten-free. If you subconciously (sp?) touch your hair right before you eat... well you know what would happen . Lisa

  17. Hey everyone! I just got back from Cour d'Alene, Idaho. I had the best experience! My mom had e-mailed the head chef at the hotel and he said they would be able to prepare foods for me at 3 of their restaurants! As we were driving to the hotel, my dad spotted a "GLUTEN-FREE" sign off of the side of the road. We pulled over and there was store that was filled...

  20. Happy Birthday! Do you have a Whole Foods or Mothers Market or any of those kind of stores by you? Let your son pick out what he wants. Lays and Cheetos are gluten-free.   21. Ore-Ida Extra Crispy Easy Fries Golden Crinkles are very good. It may not be a "gourmet meal", but I like it. But, I would include some fruits also, since the fries aren't the healthiest food in the world. Lisa

  24. The Thousand Island Dressing is NOT gluten-free!! Well, at least they don't put it on it if you ask for a gluten-free burger... so it is safe to assume that it is NOT gluten-free. Lisa
