  1. I have the exact same thing. I've been diagnosed with gastritis and that's what the dr said it was. I still have it. I hope it goes away soon because it's driving me nuts! I've been gluten free for 5 weeks now.
  2. Finally got copies of my blood work. The only numbers on them are <20 above the celiac antibody test. And another <20 above the antigliadian test then a <4 next to TGA and IGA range 265. The 265 to me makes sense but there is no other numbers except for the <20. Are there numbers missing?
  3. Oh you sound just like me! Welcome! When you realize how much better you feel you won't want to go back. Hope this helps. Hang in there. I'm only a month into my journey and the people on here are amazing!
  4. My muscle aches went away withinn days. Headaches improved but still get them about weekly vs daily, and I still have acid reflux. I'm gluten free for about a month now. I think it all takes time. Hang in there.
  5. Thanks all! You have all been great!
  6. Sorry, yes I've had my thyroid and a couple other vit.
  7. I've been gluten free for about a month or more now and my constipation has not gotten any better. Also need a boost in energy. Got a b12 injection last week by dr but is not helping. Ive gotten some energy back but not as much as I had hoped. Any suggestions? If you recommend any product can you tell me the name. Thanks bunches!
  8. It depends on if you need a concrete diagnosis or can live without it. I too went through something similar and accidentally found my intolerance to it. I went through all the testing and I found out that I had acid reflux and gastritis. I had no clue. So for me it was worth it. Biopsy's came up negative for celiacs. I'm just gluten intolerant. Do...
  9. Have you had your gallbladder checked? Not sure without knowing more about symptoms but that kind of sounds like similar pains when my gallbladder went bad.
  10. I too had blood work and EGD recently. My blood work was neg. I had acid reflux, and gastritis. My biopsy's were neg. I was told that since I'm already lactose intolerant and have IBS that is what it is. He wouldn't even admit that gluten intolerance could be an issue. Stupid dr! I'm glad you have a good dr. Hang in there. This is a great place for...
  11. Better batter is good. I like it better than Pamela's bread mix.
  12. Hang in there! You need to educate them as much as possible and your husband too. You need to make sure to take care of you! Just kindly remind everyone how sick you feel on gluten. Hope this helps. Deep breath, you will br okay. .
  13. That's a hard one. He hasn't noticed any improvement in your behavior/mood? My husband is the one who says he can "see it in my eyes" when I start feeling better off gluten. I'm blessed with a supportive spouse. Maybe you will loose weight and your health will improve and he wont care. Maybe have your mom casually talk to him about it. Have you...
  14. Good luck. I'm on week 4 of Gluten-Free and understand your struggles and frustrations. I have found gluten free for dummies to be helpful by Donna Korn. Also gluten free on a shoestring by Nicole Hunn, and a grocery store guide so you can look up in a flash what is Gluten-Free in the store. I don't have a smartphone. Hang in there. It gets easier....
  15. For cookbooks and starting out I like gluten free on a shoestring by Nicole hunn. A lot of basic recipient in there. I also like the marketplace guide for grocery stores that the sell at the gluten free market place. I'm just starting out too. They have all helped me.
  16. I agree with the gluten free for dummies.
  17. I figured it out. I had stopped taking a supplement. That has to be it.
  18. You sound like me! If you need the diagnosis don't stop eating gluten just get all testing done and then immediately start Gluten-Free. That's what I did. I did a lot of yo-yo-ing in the end it wasn't worth it. Just do what your head and heart needs. I say if you know how you feel just do the Gluten-Free.
  19. I accidentally went on a gluten free diet when trying to eat healthier and realized all my problems went away. I ate a rye sandwich one day and got my good ol headaches back within an hour. That's when I realized what my GI issues along with a whole host of other things were from. My grandfather was diagnosed with celiac disease a few years ago, no one...
  20. Sometimes you can find coupons for veggies/fruits. Maybe trying to find meat that's a manager special or trying a place like SAMs club.
  21. Good luck! I too am a newbie and trying to figure all this out. It's not an easy thing and it's a hard concept for others to grasp. Just try to educate them the best you can.
  22. I too just delt with this. My friends got mad at me because I refused to eat the wafer. I drank the grape juice, in our own cups. I had talked to my pastor prior to service he said if its going to make me sick don't eat it. My friends quite haven't realized how gluten effects me. I'm basically self diagnosed because my dr is not helping me. I know how...
  23. You all have been GREAT thanks for all your help!
  24. From my understanding I cannot take anything. I told him I do not even take ibu I take excederin. With the gastritis I guess I cannot take it. I meet with a new pcp on Tuesday. Hoping this goes away soon or I'm taking something and dealing with the consequences.
