    after over 3 years of being gluten-free, i was happy to think that my kids were all excepting the fact that i cant have gluten --my oldest didnt want to believe me and he would tell the others, "it's just a crazy diet mom is on" ----he had ran to town to pick up a few things and called to ask his 7 yr old daughter what she wanted him to bring her from mcdonalds...

    you can be gluten intolerant and not have full blown celiacs yet, but if you remain eating the gluten, in time you will be full blown and it takes even longer to feel better--go gluten-free and feel good--forget the test--deb

    Quaker Crackerjack original corncakes are a staple of my diet--DONT BUY THE BUTTER TOFFEE ONES, THEY CONTAIN BARLEY--and the caramel corncakes are ok too--they are the only 2 that i will eat so i cant answer on the others--deb

    yup--i was using tressemme--it has wheat in it, so i stopped using it and decided to use it on my car--i splattered some on my legs, not thinking i didnt rinse it off and i broke out in hives in less then 1/2 hour--i read the ingreds in all of my body items--lotions, shampoo (i use pantene), soaps, perfumes, make-up--you name it, i read it--and dont lick...

    i posted this in another post, but here goes---i found a soup base made by Superior Touch foods---it's called, "BETTER THAN BOUILLON", and it's very good--i have the chicken base, i dont like beef so i didnt check it out--my sister found this in michigan at horrbucks and i found it here on long island at king kullen's and at pathmark--so it must be out there...

    you need to find the 800# for that company and call for information--i havent heard of that one before and medications do not have to follow the same guide lines as foods---best to call the company and if in doubt--dont use it--ask the doctor for something gluten-free---deb

    flower---i have never heard of green barley, but if you think you are gluten intolerant, then i would definitely stay away from barlen in any form--barley doesnt make me physically ill, but will still cause problems with the villi--not everything will give everyone a reaction, just as some do eat oats and dont think they react to them--i would never eat oats...
