  7. the only way i have ever been able to tell if it was gluten or the flu was if someone else in the house had it too---usually it is gluten with me--i have worked with the public for a long time and i do believe you get immune to things--i did have the flu in january--i just moved to long island and i guess i am not immune to the bugs here yet----coming down...

  9. hi diane-----the line is very slim--gluten intolerant means you cant have gluten--celaic disease simply means the gluten has damaged your intestines severely--you can be intolerant and not have severe damage as of yet, but if you dont go gluten-free then the damage is imminent-----as for your breathing, maybe you should check to be sure it isnt asthma---now...

  11. well everyone--i bought Smart Balance margarine last friday, knowing it to be gluten-free, but not realizing is was also dairy free and you guessed it--i got sick---terrible headache and for the first time ever--my ears had a ringing that was deafening--that finally calmed but the headache stayed with me and of course, my mind became foggy so i couldnt think...

Scotsgirl--you are going through withdrawal from foods you love--all we celiacs do this--the depression will lift in time, i promise----if you love veggies then you are very lucky---just dont go to the sections where the cakes are or learn to make your own---i make wonderful chocolate chip cookies--i just use the toll house recipe and use our flours instead...
