  1. We had a lovely piece of lamb today, totally melt in the mouth. Looking forward to encores, if it lasts that long . Look forward to trying the spring roll wraps if I get rice back soon...
  2. Annoying, isn't it? Glad you are on the mend now. I sometimes stand in the supermarket saying things like 'if I am buying chicken, the only ingredient I want in it is chicken'. Great you got you diagnosis and are starting the healing journey. Sorry you had to join the missed diagnosis club first, there are a lot of us about. This is a great place to...
  3. Chicken stir here, nice bit of bok choy plus the usual suspects. We are mostly doing wet and windy here, nearly got blown away by the beach yesterday. I think I love the windswept beach as much as the sunny one ( just in shorter doses).
  4. 5 years, hmmm. Getting 2 small children going through school, seeing if I can rebuild my health to get back to part time work. I would love to take a 6 month sabbatical when the kids are old enough to appreciate it, and travel as a family. I''ll be sure to pop by if I am passing : Edited to add, mommida, the shawls and blankets are such a lovely idea...
  5. Thanks squirmingitch. I am sure a friend has dh from your pictures. I will show him in a couple of weeks when I next see him. He had negative blood test, but had been gluten-free beforehand. Great thread, thanks.
  6. Thanks Sora Looks gooood. It may take me weeks to introduce all those ingredients on my elimination diet, but so worth it. Everyone has to have a goal, right?
  7. Good choice I don't like the thinking and. checking part of either. I have been eating wholefoods the last 3 weeks, and that has cut down the checking a lot. Our spontaneity is a bit different, and we are masters of the picnic now, even in winter, we just have to be creative about venues. We also entertain at our home more, which we enjoy especially ...
  8. Mmm. That sounds good , let us know how it goes I have my eye out for a good Thai green curry recipe if anyone has one :) Making it fun is definitely the way to go. I like finding a new ingredient and trying it lots of ways. I can't get enough sprouts at the moment...we have pork tonight, probably stir fried ( with sprouts if Mr Mindwarp isn...
  9. No dumb questions here, well worth a new thread. I would be interested too
  10. Colleen, that sounds fantastic. Gonna be tough to top brownies and cherry ice cream. No idea what's for dinner here, I am halfway through finding places for all the Christmas stuff, and my dining table has vanished for now. I got some of the lounge back though. Hoping the brain fog doesn't strike
  11. Encore sloooow cooked beef, mushrooms and zucchini. Snowed briefly yesterday, gone today. . A balmy 0 for us here.
  12. Hey, welcome back buddy, you went to the gym? Well, I think I need some of that whole30 thing. Oh, wait, I already did. 2 people I haven't seen since before I started said how well I look today Great news, really great. Isn't it great when you ache like a normal person, because you used some muscles to exercise? Dinner was sloooow cooked beef,...
  13. I am with you, I just have so many of the symptoms. I did a gluten challenge last year and it was awful, totally wiped me out, took 4 months to get over. I am trying to get my head round the genetic testing. I asked for full results, but didn't get them, think I will request in writing. So, just hanging out waiting for medical science to catch us up...
  14. Hiya Ninja Got my genetic test results today, mine is negative too. I think that s good news?? No way I am going back to eating gluten now. The GI said may be IBS or non celiac gluten intolerance. I am with ncgi, but happy to describe it as celiac if it makes it easier. So - you are definitely not alone
  15. Adelaide, that is so sweet of your husband . Plain but good here for dinner,, lamb steak, sweet potato, carrots, broccoli. Colleen, hope you have had a good day x
  16. Ninja I'm in the UK so had the test done via the GI on the NHS. Sadly here we just seem to get the same 2 genes tested as in the USA. Maybe I could have an excuse for a trip somewhere nice if my tests are negative. The advice on testing above looks good to me. I am definitely in the crowd that says judge by response to gluten-free diet. It is worth...
  17. Eating back to normal, cravings vanished. Phew. Roast chicken, rotabaga, cauliflower, carrots, mange tout. I am eating loads of the veg I don't normally have because Mr Mindwarp isn't keen. I decided as I am cooking 2 or more different meals I would do stuff I like. Just roasted sweet potatoes and onions while the oven was on, and couldn't resist...
  18. Well hellooo Salmon, sweet potato carrots, broccoli. But I want that pizza. This whole30 is doing weird things now, I am craving stuff, including things I don't even like. Keeping going.
  19. I got diagnosed non celiac gluten intolerance, cannot rule out celiac. I am waiting for the genetic results, which I know have been dictated and are waiting to be typed and sent. Will I be disappointed if they are negative? Yes. Will it change being gluten-free? No. It explains too much. Plus they don't really understand ncgi yet. I will continue to call...
  20. Hi, I can log in from my mobile now, didn't do anything different, it just came back. Hooray! I still can't get to the full site from my mobile, I am hitting the full version button at the bottom of the screen, but it just comes back to the mobile site.
  21. Hooray, the site finally let me back in Dinner was a chicken stew, quarters cooked whole, cauliflower, carrots, canned toms tarragon. I missed you guys!
  22. Hi all made it back in, got shut out by some strange loop whereby I can log in on the PC but not my cell. Still not back on the cell, but at least I can sneak in here occassionally. Last night was chicken, butternut squash, zucchini and mushrooms. I stirfried the alreadly cooked squash in with the other stuff - I love it like that, it kind of makes...
  23. Hello again I am now able to log in on my PC following a password meltdown (I can't read the wiggly blurry words!!!) but I can no longer log in from my cell phone. I am also unable to switch between the mobile version and the full version on my cell. Any help appreciated!
  24. Dried fruit? Dates apricots and raisins are our favorites in moderation
