  1. Is your doctor recommending and endoscopy too? Remember you need to stay on gluten until after that if you are having one. It is really worth posting your results here when you get them, lots of the folks are experienced enough to pick up bits doctors miss (though fingers crossed you have one of those good docs we occasionally hear about). Also, there...
  2. Has anyone else noticed yet(i) that our glorious sovereign doesn't seem to have made the transition? Is there a protocol for this eventuality?
  3. Oooooooooooooo Conspiracy theory time yet(i)?
  4. I'm a bit sad to see mk 1 thread just slip down the pages. Is there a way to pin it at the top, with an explanation? Though not sure I have been here long enough yet(i) to have a clue what the explantion is...
  5. Maybe try just some simple fresh foods for a while? Meat, fish, veg, fruit... Some people find gluten-free products are ok as a treat, especially once you start feeling better
  6. I found this too. I now do rice pasta couple of times a week and the odd gluten-free brownie or muffin. I was literally sick 2 weeks in to gluten-free. I think it was the corn for me,along with extra salt fat and sugar. Great as treats, wholefoods might be better everyday. Good luck
  7. It's awefurlee kwiet heer. Haz knowone gott ovar there hanggovor yet(i)?
  8. I'm so sorry you had this experience so soon into your diagnosis and gluten-free diet. Bartfull has given you some great advice. I am about your age, with family, and 3 months in. It does get easier. I decided a month ago that I could decide how to react to the situation. I will now happily take my own food (which I know I will like) and enjoy the...
  9. Who cares what it's called as long as you've got some ?
  10. Eek I had throat spray which was ok. It didn't hurt but wasn't fun. Drugs do odd things to me so rather put up with it. All sounds very mixed up, make sure you get the right results.
  11. Mmm apple pie. Maybe Mr Mw fancies a bit of baking when he gets home... Have a great one x
  12. Think I might be the odd one out over the pond today! Beef stew with red wine and winter vegetables, in crockpot as we speak. Just had a severe weather warning, storm to hit in the next hour. Attempting to get Mr Mw and son home before it comes then stay home cosy. Happy Thanksgiving to you all. Extra special wishes to those of you adding...
  13. Eys eyt sayf 2 kome bak yet(i)? Byt skeert, bidds fur thee krown arrr konsideerd treesun wear eye kome frum Awl hale thee kyng!
  14. That sounds great, nice to feel you are listened to and that the doctor knows what they are talking about. Be sure to let us know how it all goes, keep asking questions!
  15. Well, you certainly didn't get a straightforward one there. It is definitely odd having the throat spray. Sounds like you had a similar response to the tube. Thank goodness you asked about the celiac, it sounds like you wouldn't be in a hurry to go back. It's hard to explain the spaced out thing, but sounds like you had it... Good it is all done, hopefully...
  16. Feel much better without gluten. Like, much better. Also, I like having good fresh food. And, the good folks here will help if you have a wobble. Keep investigating other possibilities, ask lots of questions Good luck, and welcome
  17. What great news, fantastic. Glad you have people around you too. Mw x
  18. My blood and biopsy were both negative, but I had been gluten free or light beforehand. I am still calling myself celiac. I am happy to explain in more detail if anyone asks. I am quite happy to say that the tests dont work if you can't eat gluten. I have also now seen a GI who fully supports my decision to be gluten-free. He has referred me to a nutritionist...
  19. I'm wondering if toaster tossing could be an official celiac sport? Just thinking about it hitting the concrete feels good. I'd quite like to do that to DHs toaster. Not a fan of being in a mixed house
  20. I took the 300 symptoms list to be 'associated with' rather than 'causal of' celiac. Personally I have found this list and similar ones helpful to stitch together for myself all my apparently unrelated symptoms. If I hadn't seen recurrent miscarriage on a similar list I wouldn't have tied my other symptoms together. My GI seems happy with my research....
  21. Greetings Dixie Sweet Cheeks (From confused and slightly desparate newbie, Holly Sticky Fingers)
  22. Glutened recently, in the flu like bit DH came home and made me spag bol from scratch Fortunately the board was down while he was making it, so I didn't send it back or demand a side (dish)of bacon
  23. Just a thought, I used to have knee problems and I eventually found I had pronation (sp?) in my feet. That is dropped arches or flat feet. You can get shaped inserts to help support them. I am still susceptible, and I know what you mean about moving the problem round The other thing I did was swimming and cycling to build up the muscles above my...
  24. Yep, sounds like a nest to me. Had one in my last house. Used to get big fat lazy ones come in this time of year. They love eaves and attics. One for building services I think. I think we paid someone to deal with it.
