  1. Morning. Woke early here. I'm sure you lot were supposed to be having a party or something. I fell asleep listening to the radio and was woken by some mad screaming at 4.15 my time. Have a good day y'all I'm planning to have a schplended one
  2. Hiya Keep your fingers crossed for me - been gluten-free 2 months and this week is my first time away from home and my own kitchen. I have a stack of stuff to take with me, cooler at the ready. I am doing some workshops, so taking lunch with me each day, and enough snacks to keep me going if we decide to eat after, so I can join everyone for...
  3. IH, are you sure you are not back on the tonic today? A friend got me some nettle and peppermint so I'll give that a spin I think
  4. I have had fishy eggs, though it was a long time ago! It is fantastically fashionable to keep chickens in the UK now. Not helpful if you live in a flat though. I have considered it, but I think my cat would find an exciting new pastime... Only other way I can think if you are concerned is to ask at farmers markets or independent food suppliers, or farms...
  5. Brilliant Mmm cinnamon rolls. Good luck on the journey
  6. Oh no, I'm gonna have to cave... Baaaacoonnn
  7. Peter What amazing healing. It is so great to hear others stories. No wonder you are such a good advocate
  8. I wonder if the figures above assume you are consuming a gluten full diet at time of testing? It seems to get more complex if you throw in gluten-free and gluten light.
  9. Roast chicken and all the veg. I'm wondering now about adding bacon on top
  10. I was really scared before mine last month but it was fine. Just a few more days it will be out of the way x
  11. I had no sedation and was fine The event was far less scary than the wait. You may be a bit spacy after, take someone to bring you home.
  12. Still here! Fell over in the park and grazed my knees today. What am I, 3??? Had a great time looking at dinosaur stuff too. Happpppy weeeekennnnd
  13. 5 days of 5am starts thanks to kids body clocks after our change last weekend, as predicted :o
  14. I have recently self diagnosed, partly with the help of information here. I was wheat free for years and only lasted 3 weeks on a gluten challenge. I wonder if you were gluten light before testing? It is very hard with negative results to work out if it is celiac or non celiac gluten intolerance, as far as I can work out. For myself, I know...
  15. It is a lot right now. It is great you are getting the testing done. I know it seems like an age but you are getting close. I hope you get some answers. I had the crazy cravings before going gluten-free, and would regularly eat a full meal then eat a snack, I realize now my body was starving. It looks like a gluten-free trial may help, whatever...
  16. Oh my word, I kept waking in the night to see if we were back together My friends Granny in Baltimore lost phone contact for a while, we think the mast went down, but everyone now accounted for. Nice to see everyone again. Hope anyone who has clean up to do finds what they need x
  17. Ah, that explains it. Hope everyone involved was ok. Between that and the upgrade (thanks Scott ) I have realized how addicted I am to the boards. Amazing resource (thanks again Scott). Nice to see you all again
  18. Thanks for sharing! Your story is very familiar. I was diagnosed with Repetitive Strain Injury after I damaged my thumb, but it affected my whole arm and neck. Cost me my job in the end. Reading stories like yours and folks here with carpal tunnel syndrome I think now it was celiac that stopped me healing. I had to self diagnose like you, after...
  19. Well IH, I am sure cavemen must have at least eaten juniper berries, so maybe that counts? I had to give up alcohol (and survived). Gin was my fave too. Well done on going paleo, let us know how it goes. I am thinking about it... Mw
  20. Good to see you all. Been watching footage and it is unreal. Still crossing fingers for everyone else
  21. Sometimes the NHS will give epipens without testing, or give them while you wait for testing I think. They should act if you chest is closing up and severity is increasing. It seems to really vary by region what they will do in the way of testing. The anaphylaxis campaign have some good info, or allergy uk. Helpline as well as online. Dont...
  22. Tingling and itching certainly can be a sign of allergic reaction. Might be worth checking with a doctor and asking about epipens, or to at least know what to do if you ever had an anaphylactic reaction. My son has nut allergy and we carry epipens now. Not sure on your other questions, good luck
  23. Well done, nice to get it over with isn't it? My biopsy came back negative last week, but I was relieved to know there were no big nasties. On with the adventures, good luck
  24. Here's the reply from proctor and gamble about Pantene shampoo and conditioner In our Pantene products, some of the fatty alcohols used for conditioning may be from grain crops such as wheat, however these should pose no problems for those with gluten issues as the gluten will have been destroyed through processing.I hope that helps. Kind regards...
