  1. it's fine to rant, lister. you posted a few days ago what you ate in a day. if i ate that little, i'd be starving too. you need to make sure that your meals are a balance of fat/protein and carbohydrates for a truly optimal meal. if you don't take care of yourself, your symptoms aren't going to disappear. you've taken some great steps in the right direction...
  2. hi sara, the one in my grocer is NOT gluten-free. but it's not at pick n save... (not too sure what that is, but assuming a grocer).
  3. Decaf coffee is gluten-free, but it can't hurt to contact the company if you're concerend. Flavoured coffee beans are gluten-free from what I've always seen/heard/called, but again, the natural flavouring, you might want to call. They use barley in teas a lot, so I wouldn't write it off. But again, never seen any that aren't.
  4. if you are from Canada, a few of the PC organics are. personally, i find Nature's Path mainstream, but maybe not for other people.
  5. Also, dairy and eggs are often correlated because of the vegan diet. Vegetarians, in general, still consume both, but if a restaurant or store or person, for that matter, thinks one does not eat dairy, then no eggs either.
  6. can you cut anything other than natural sugars, and limit those, out of your diet? that might help. sorry about the job!
  7. i recently started my site, but it's mainly for recipes. however, i could do an attachment if people wanted to write their 'stories', i would like every one's. it would make for good reading!
  8. do you have liver issues? it could be that. about MS, if you really think you have it, and the docs say no, get second, third and so on opinions. trust me... it is often missed and under diagnosed. three people in my immediate family have MS (the longest being my mother at about 34 years, now), and frankly, we're 'pros'!
  9. Hi Helena .... welcome!
  10. count your blessings, becuase one day, you won't be able to drink anything unfortunately, that happened to me at a ripe, young age. i still don't drink the casein/gluten free wine, but that way, my mom can when we make it. i can't have sulphites. or alcohol, in that case.
  11. you can also make your own wine, too. we do that.
  12. smarties in canada are like m&ms, but unlike m&ms they have wheat starch. just so you know. we call your smarties 'rockets' here.
  13. Hi there, I am not a parent but I, myself, am casein free. I have similar symptoms when I consume casein or gluten (some seperate, too), but diahrrea is one of them that occurs in both. I wouldn't doubt that it could be from them, and if he has a casein intolerance, i really suggest you stop letting him eat the dogs. They'll just hinder his healing. I understand...
  14. are you lactose or casein free? if you are casein free, wine is filtered with casein.
  15. Open Original Shared Link on the top bar is where it says 'gluten-free'. i am not sure about other things, but you could probably email them for a list!
  16. pam is gluten-free. i used to use it way when when i first went gluten-free and called. the grain is not wheat/rye/barley/oats derived. i believe it was corn, but i know it is gluten-free.
  17. their website says gluten-free right on it. i googled it for you.
  18. ours are cheaper from our naturopath.
  19. i use Bragg's Liquid Aminos. Naturally gluten-free, says so on the label, GMO free, and delicious.
  20. Thai Kitchen fish sauce.
  21. Are the London Broils gluten-free? My mom's butcher has confirmed that hers are, but they are wrapped with bacon.
  22. burt's bees lip balm is gluten and casein free. lister, what is your typical day like, eating? i can help you tweak it so it's more cost efficient if you would like.
  23. Lister In this thread, and others, you hvae mentioned you are buying a lot of pre-made things and mixed and whatnot. Perhaps you should rethink this if you are having money issues. Luckily, whole foods are gluten-free. That means, we have this plethora of food around us that is accessible, affordable and wonderful. It provides us with vitamins and minerals...
  24. if you look on kraft's pdf, it wasn't updated for a really, really long time. they even took it off of their website.
